This is literally an international LAN event that players play their hearts out to get to and their just “thorwing matches” for better seeding? If you want to be champions you better be able to beat any team. Stop being chickens!

It's not 0 and 1, throw or give everything you got. There's strategy and finesse to these things. All Sen did was try to win on the same 2 maps using the same tactics as before without exposing their new strats to their playoff competitors. It's not rocket science.

So props to G2 for being able to beat Sen while they used their B strats the 2nd time around, showing that G2 is a legit top tier team now and should be feared if you don't try something new.

I agree, but you can't specifically find evidence for these kinds of things as the players can just blame that they're having a bad day or something.

SEN definitely got a much easier road to the grand finals. playing 2 na teams that they historically dominate, or a pretty shaky SMB/Acend is a lot better than going up against VS, G2 and Gambit who all look very good, especially VS and Gambit before they choked

also i dont think SEN necessarily tried to throw, that would be picking yoru. they still went with their usual game plan and comp, just didnt bother throwing in any new stuff for antistrats

Sen tried, it was an honest loss to G2. But I think their bracket is actually better because of it. They probably got hard countered and they just did the same strats. It is weird they didn't do better on Ice box though. Its like they just did the same thing as the first match and expected it to work. IDK

this might sounds an excuses but i've seen this kind of scenario from astralis where they lose in upper bracket against weaker team and grinding to finals through lower bracket to avoid strong opponents like navi and it's worked.
