Why would people switch from CS to Valo lmao? Franchising makes it more difficult to find and keep a job! I think it's likely that the valorant Tier 2 scene dies out and some players switch back to CS.

Why not just use Jady? Even if the roles are chalked, at least he has chemistry with the other four guys. M3C deserved to lose after making a sub like that.
chronicle still doesn't seem very comfortable with the op. now that i think about it, no one on m3c is a true oper. maybe they could put nAts back on chamber for icebox? but i guess in that case you would lose nAts on his comfort agent on a familiar map
Or... d00mbr0s has crafted a detailed and persuasive alter ego to pursue his dream of coaching two teams at once!
I mean we know the announcement is "Jady joins M3C". I guess the more interesting thing to watch is which org will post the announcement. Heroic?
It's so cool, I remember early FPX and how weird they were. For the Zyppan/Shao/Ange1 core to win an international LAN is a great story
I agree, but the best players need to show up on the biggest stage
If FPX lose, ardiis will take a lot of the blame. He has been ice cold for most of the series.
He should keep doing it because it's funny
"Gamer discovers the phenomenon known as 'live sports' "
Maybe it'll be like OWL where the camera only shows the lower bowl hahaha
To be fair, the people who organize LoL events aren't the same people who organize VCT events.
Yep. Watch parties only mask VALORANT's problem with production, talent and presentation. Think about what would happen if Riot decided to stop the watch parties. Would all the people who view a watch party switch to viewing the main stream? Probably not, because a large portion of them wouldn't be interested anymore. Therein lies the long-term problem. The game isn't entertaining enough on the main stream to attract viewers, so Riot needs to co-op with popular streamers to increase viewership. You don't see major sports doing this, because their broadcast rights are monopolized by large, reliable corporations who have invested in entertaining, informative broadcasts fit for all audiences (ex. NBA on TNT). Riot has the resources to go the same way, and they probably will once franchising is in place.
So weird that no one in the crowd was standing up to cheer
He's so good at finding the best roles for his players and bringing the best out of them.
Such a great matchup. I'm rooting for M3C but I don't mind FPX winning either.
I play on a laptop and get 30-50 fps in-game. It's alright, but when there are multiple abilities going off, it's really hard to play because the frame rate goes below 20.
Yes, but it's clear that their thrilling match against FNC severely tired them for the match against G2. In fact, both FNC and GMB/M3C haven't won a match since that game. So I wouldn't (and I think most pros don't) read much into that loss and placement.
There's a new "best controller in the world" every two months. Marved is having a good tournament, but to say he's the best in the world is a bit bold.
Which is worse:
1) soulcas' knife attempt on vanity in last year's Masters Reykjavik
2) neT's "trigger discipline" attempt in PRX/TGRD
They're not out yet.
Ah yes, if you lose, blame the game and the "low skill ceiling".
Awful sportsmanship by this guy.
Where's Patiphan? Did he change his name to Surf? ;)
After watching today's matches, am I really supposed to come to the conclusion that ddk/seangares are worse than all the caster pairings we've seen today? I've had to mute the stream at some points just because the casting/analyst desk is unbearably poor. Riot is clueless when it comes to talent management.
CS:GO has a replay system/ demo viewer and it's very useful (it allows you to rewatch your own matches or pro matches with any camera angle, speed, detail, etc). I think a feature like this would be immensely valuable for VALORANT and honestly I don't know why we haven't heard about it in months: it should be Riot's priority. Imagine not having to record your own POV and being able to watch your matches from the perspective of any player in the server, freeze the game at any moment, move the camera freely. It becomes so much easier to learn from your mistakes, learn from your teammates, learn from your opponents, and be inspired to make new plays.
A replay system helps pro players, content creators, AND casuals. A lot of the features of a replay system are already in the game as part of the observer toolkit, but it would be 100x better if those features could be used on recorded games.
what do u guys think
I don't know about the long-term success of the OWL; there's not a lot of positives for that game in general at the moment and the league has historically been mismanaged by Blizzard. So there's a real chance that we see Pati back in Valorant sometime in the future. Every team would be lining up to get him. Maybe he'd even just transfer in-house to the Guard.
Neat. Obviously management has a ton of money to work with, so it'll be exciting to see who they can buy or develop.
BONKAR
If Bonkar was IGL for Sen, they would have won Champions.
I agree.
Acend and Gambit are not the two teams you would pick for marketing a world championship. In particular, it seems like Acend don't draw much attention at all (at least GMB won the last event so they have lots of eyes on them). Acend games didn't do well for viewership or social media engagement this tournament. This isn't the fault of the players, though. All Acend players are very good, and it's a shame more people aren't interested in their team.
I think KRU vs GMB was already the best series of the tournament with lots on the line, massive personalities, and huge social media engagement; so if you want a very intense "final" to watch, go watch that one. :D
They will either ban Haven or Bind. My guess is that they will ban Bind; hopefully they have something cool and unique for Haven.
This is a great event for LATAM and Brazil. Those regions were way behind EMEA and NA in previous tournaments, but now they've shown that they can closely compete, even win. This is a good sign for the long-term health of the professional scene.
Kinda sad for VK that the observers/admins didn't catch it during the game. Otherwise, they could've told JhoW to stop midgame.
Valorant is a game where it gets views on two things. Watch parties and what teams are playing.
That's every esport tbh
Look at the CS:GO major that just finished. No way do they hit 2.3 mil in the finals if it isn't NAVI, G2, and the greatest player ever trying to get his first major
Yes, but scrims weren't the only reason they were rated so highly. They came into Masters Berlin with the #1 EMEA seed after beating a lot of the best teams in the region in official matches, so of course they would be rated highly back then.
Also, did you watch them play redbull? They played Sova on split and D3ffo did the same entry every round... not saying that they were throwing, but they were definitely playing to try new stuff, not playing to win.
Please let Lakia play more than one map ;)
I think FS could beat FNC tho
Just the way that he answered the question implies that he's already received some offers
It's not really newsworthy, we've kinda known this for a while, just thought it's interesting
I think he'll stay in CSGO though; Valorant would be an unnecessary risk for his career
He's probably punching a wall right now
I wonder what will happen to FaZe. Hopefully they don't implode.
So they're TSM FTX X? haha
It would be even worse if he turns out guilty but Riot doesn't ban him!
