I have seen a lot of posts about how Europe owns NA and how we are frauds in esports in general. I decided to do a bit of research and found these results. These results are over all esports, all sources used will be linked below.

Earnings over all eSports titles:
US+Canada: $274m
Europe: $504m

Population for region:
US+Canada: 369m
Europe: 868m

Earning per person NA: 74 cents
Earning per person Europe: 58 cents

Difference in earning per person between NA and Europe: 24%
This means, on average, NA players are roughly 24% more skilled in esports titles.

This statistic makes no sense. You cannot compare a few rich countries where many people are interested in esports with a continent where there are poor countries in which many people do not have a proper computer.

You should take only international events earnings if you want compare "skill" between different regions(I don't if you did, it's unclear from how you formulated).

In general, it's expected for NA pro gamers to earn more even through events, because NA is more clouted and therefore attracts more sponsors.

Do you account for the fact that America and Canada also has more computer users per person compared to Europe

idk where u got that "NA players are 24% more skilled in esports titles" skilled in what exactly?? Where is that skill going since Eu has been more successful in terms of trophies in rocket league,r6,cs,valorant,lol,dota lmao

Sites also include Players that got them earnings....so if you calculate that you get
EU avg earning 10202,37
NA(USA Canada) avg earning 9708,20
but keep usin only the data that favors you :)

How many NA players have a major in CSGO compared to EU?
How many NA players have won Worlds in Rocket League compared to EU?
How many NA players have won Worlds in League compared to EU?

For CSGO, only ONE single NA team has EVER won a major.
EU and SA together have 18 majors.
EU has more majors and World Championship titles in Rocket League. (6 World Championships for EU, 3 for NA)
League is mostly dominated by Korea/Japan(?)/other Asia countries [forgive me if I'm wrong, the only thing I know about league is deft and faker lol], so I can't comment on EU vs NA there.
