Yoru is the future
Yoru will one day own your favorite duelist.
Here's how to play Yoru:
Attack side
You are a duelist, you are meant to entry the site before any of your teammates.
How to use your util to take space effectively
Step 1. Determine if the space you want to take is streamlined or not
*For example, take Haven A long, for example. It is a single corridor with only 2 specific places the enemy team can hide in fast enough at the start of the round.
Step 2. Don't peek if you don't have to.
The biggest annoyance you can find yourself in is trying to use a flash for your TP and getting one tapped the moment you peek.
Remember, your flash has infinite duration until it hits something, and its bounces are predictable. What's more, it will still flash even if its above your opponent's screen and no matter how far away it is
Additionally, your tp slides off walls, so you can minimize your exposure to someone holding the angle you're trying to flash by coming up with creative lineups that appear in hard to notice spaces but still flash the area you want to clear.
Step 3. If the space is streamlined, defer to a tp play, figure out the perfect timing for when to tp after your newly practiced cringe flash which; this will guarantee all 1-3 possible rat spots are flashed (i recommend looking for pop flash lineups so they can't dodge it even with 80 ms reaction time) and clear them.
Examples of streamlined spaces on maps:
-Haven A long
-Haven A hell
-Fracture A main
-Split A ramp
-Pearl B halls
-Bind A showers
Step 4. If the space is not Streamlined, and its important that you take it, use your clone and cringe flashes.
Your clone is effective for taking any space. However, remember that you only have 1 clone per round, so save it for taking the space you think is most important.
Flash high in areas that are visible to the entire site to flash almost everyone.
Step 5. Go wild, or be safe, your choice.
Once you're on site and you maybe got 1-2 flash kills after tp, go wild. You're a duelist now help your team take site by being an aim god. Sometimes CT is a streamlined space (like fracture B Generator) and its possible to go for a kill or two there with your tp + a pop flash through smoke.
Misc.
What to do if they aren't shooting your clone:
Pretend to be the clone for one round if they do this consistently, and they'll never hold off on shooting it again.
What to do if I can't aim:
rely on cringe flash tp lineups and play for picks in all the streamlined spaces you think they might be hiding in, or if you can bait them into a streamlined space with the help of your team.
Yoru ult
Yoru ult has two uses:
- is to get a free pick if you have the read on the enemy team.
I like doing this on bind. since there's no mid, you know for a fact that if your team pushed B, they're going to rotate through spawn, with their knife out
When you yoru unult, you pullout your gun faster than they do if they have their knife out,
So, before anything always place a tp down before you ult so you can tp out in case you fuck up or you are about to run out of time, etc. Next have your team make heavy presence B and push out into their spawn with your ult while half clearing the important angles (you don't have enough time to clear the entire site) and insta unult the moment you see someone running with their knife out, kill them, and tp back before their friends come to trade them.
- Take a site that you struggle taking:
Basically not every site in the game has streamlined spaces to abuse, so you're going to end up getting a little predictable with the site you decide to push.
Your ult is a free site for your team if you use it right, so make sure to use it on the site that you struggle with in order to switch things up.
Defense
Eating lunch will edit later
EDIT:
Yoru has two fundamental strengths that you can make use of on defense,
- Rotation Ability.
With the right tp lineup, and correct pre-round timing, you can shut down any super-fast push by having a tp in a safe spot on the opposite site + a map-wide flash from where you tp'd from.
This means that so long as the enemy team is super aggressive, they will never once be pushing your team's weak side. If they start to play slow off your first tp, try to read their play and set your second tp on the site you just came from to insta rotate there if they commit to the rotate or just fake. each tp only lasts 30 seconds so space out your usage of them somewhat throughout the 120 second round.
- Retake ability
Your clone is very easily one of the best pieces of util your team has for retakes. you can bait is as if it were another player and make an initial push onto site, especially if you combine it with a high or pop flash through smoke to get rid of all the people watching the angle.
I recommend setting it down on the ground on a different angle, lurking up to a separate entrance and baiting it off of that.
Rat angles
You can push up onto the angles not even jetts play in because your tp is long range, you aren't limited by how far your dash goes, you can push up deeper than any other agent and catch people off guard.
Idk why this always works tbh with you but if im expecting an A push on lotus i send out my clone to protect against jiggle peaks, then insta pop flash a main so that even if they turn my clone they'll just look back to my flash. I go for 1-2 kills then I tp back.
