The scheduling for these games is extremely ass. It's currently 4:00 AM, and I have school tomorrow. But this particular game was worth it. Witnessing the highly overrated teams (DRX and Fnatic) being outplayed by the GOAT Potter is worth it.
You're missing the point. The majority of people who watch Valorant are from North America. Using these timeslots cut viewership in half. Although I can't prove that the majority of VALORANT Twitch channel viewers are from North America. I can make an educated guess based on the player count of the game being 23.53% North American.
These time slots do not favor the players. For the European teams, it feels like 10-12AM for the North American players it feels like 3-5AM. That is half the players and more than half the fanbase basically being left out. The decision to host this tournament in Tokyo was bad. The decision to make these timeslots like this was also a bad one.
I'll clear this up for you. Demon1 got there on Jun 7 (https://twitter.com/Demon1___/status/1666436527579189248) and it takes 5-7 days to adjust to a timezone (https://www.today.com/health/daylight-saving-time-begins-sunday-here-are-4-ways-help-t210756#:~:text=We%20sometimes%20naturally%20wake%20up,adjust%20to%20daylight%20saving%20time.). They have already played games. Your argument makes some sense but still doesn't disprove my argument. They were worse for the players and the fanbase. :)
holy stop whining about this
We have been spoiled with watch times since the start of Valorant it’s about time Pacific get to watch at a decent time (idk how good this is for some in EMEA) but regardless the switch is nice to see for the community. It’s also in Tokyo, your basically saying you’d rather them play at like 3-5 AM
