The scheduling for these games is extremely ass. It's currently 4:00 AM, and I have school tomorrow. But this particular game was worth it. Witnessing the highly overrated teams (DRX and Fnatic) being outplayed by the GOAT Potter is worth it.
Miting [#2]I like this time schedule. It's 1 pm here. I watch matches and do my things at the same time. It's so cozy
It's a good schedule for a minority of watchers. A majority of VALORANT viewers are from North America.
iloveEG [#3]It's a good schedule for a minority of watchers. A majority of VALORANT viewers are from North America.
Asian viewers are minorities?
TBH I'm tired to watch LoL and Dota2 tournaments at night or don't watch it all just cuz it's placed in Americas or in Western Europe :I

OK BRO
masters tokyo tokyo times deal with it

oh my god its almost as if Riot knew that and wanted to nurture the pacific audience more as they already have a solid consensus on NA & EU viewer projections😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱v

You're missing the point. The majority of people who watch Valorant are from North America. Using these timeslots cut viewership in half. Although I can't prove that the majority of VALORANT Twitch channel viewers are from North America. I can make an educated guess based on the player count of the game being 23.53% North American.

So??? They choose the times for what is best in the day for the PLAYERS who are in TOKYO
holy stop whining about this
We have been spoiled with watch times since the start of Valorant it’s about time Pacific get to watch at a decent time (idk how good this is for some in EMEA) but regardless the switch is nice to see for the community. It’s also in Tokyo, your basically saying you’d rather them play at like 3-5 AM

100% - 23.53% = 50% :)
thefaz31 [#10]So??? They choose the times for what is best in the day for the PLAYERS who are in TOKYO
These time slots do not favor the players. For the European teams, it feels like 10-12AM for the North American players it feels like 3-5AM. That is half the players and more than half the fanbase basically being left out. The decision to host this tournament in Tokyo was bad. The decision to make these timeslots like this was also a bad one.

Dude you’re an idiot they’ve been there for a week, they’ve adjusted to the time
Miting [#12]100% - 23.53% = 50% :)
Sorry, I was wrong it's probably more like 35% with the United States, All South American countries, and Canada.
Either way, the Americas have the majority of the player base which is why the time slots are placed very badly.

So 2/3 of the viewers are good about the time slots + The most important comfort for visitors of the arena in Japan
thefaz31 [#14]Dude you’re an idiot they’ve been there for a week, they’ve adjusted to the time
I'll clear this up for you. Demon1 got there on Jun 7 (https://twitter.com/Demon1___/status/1666436527579189248) and it takes 5-7 days to adjust to a timezone (https://www.today.com/health/daylight-saving-time-begins-sunday-here-are-4-ways-help-t210756#:~:text=We%20sometimes%20naturally%20wake%20up,adjust%20to%20daylight%20saving%20time.). They have already played games. Your argument makes some sense but still doesn't disprove my argument. They were worse for the players and the fanbase. :)
Miting [#19]So 2/3 of the viewers are good about the time slots + The most important comfort for visitors of the arena in Japan
Nope:) Sadly the first game was at 3-5 AM for the Europeans. Quiet rough timeslots for well over 50% of the fanbase.
So more like 1/2 of the viewers are good.

1/2 - its good. When it's somewhere in America (up north or down south) there is the same situation..... it's good for 1/2 of the world viewers either... What are you fight for?

Host it in a more centralized location like Europe where the timezones are more easily achievable by the majority of the viewers.
iloveEG [#23]Host it in a more centralized location like Europe where the timezones are more easily achievable by the majority of the viewers.
But European tournaments rarely starts at 12 pm. When it's 6-7pm for Asian viewers.... It's always starting at 2-4 pm when the end of the first match goes after 12 am..... I don't talk about the 2nd and the 3rd matches.....
But the way, the viewers isn't only one thing for Riots to choose the place
Dybala21 [#25]W american
this event is a massive W for the APAC scene I can't believe people are angry that riot wants to grow their game in areas that aren't EMEA or Americas
smb_0 [#26]this event is a massive W for the APAC scene I can't believe people are angry that riot wants to grow their game in areas that aren't EMEA or Americas
Exactly bro, people kept crying because of the match time like a kid

wait your telling me the biggest viewership is from the region who consistently gets good times 😱😱😱

6-7 PM vs 5 AM
You're argument is still flawed.
