When your mom says in an argument "i gave u birth on this planet" how do u make a comeback from that? My mom uses this every freaking time.
Its not like she chose it to be me or i wanted it
Bro just listen to your mom, she just wants the best for you. She’s been feeding and clothing ur ass and (if doing her job properly) gave you love and affection.
Just listen to her as long as shes not making completely unreasonable demands that go too far ( like making you go into computer science if what you really want is communications and marketing), basically something reallt serious that would seriously fuck things up.
Stop playing games past 10pm, finish ur homework, do your chores, clean after yourself.
Exactly, obviously not every mom that uses this argument is bad but emotionally manipulative moms bring up "i brought you into this world" as an argument to make the child feel guilty about wanting small things or contradicting the parents in any way. I think other vlr users are just lucky not to have experienced that
Man this thread turned out more wholesome then i expected, ig we're all not degens
Abt the whole argument problem, i would suggest just humouring her on the surface while not giving a shit in reality, that's mostly how my dad(and i) deal with my mom when she starts getting argumentative abt something
What's the context of the situation ur mom needing to say something like that? I just don't think any parent would pull some words as strong as those if the situation is not serious? My mom never said something like that. Well, sorry in advance i bring up religion, but in Islam children know better religiously not to make their parents in this context, mom, be at a point where she lets out these words in the first place. I cannot think of any scenario but the child has said/done something disrespectful to his/her mom that she finally says those words. Therefor, yeah, context is needed
Edited for a typo
