can someone tell me ONE reason people are overhyping China so much?

People are talking about them like they are gonna dominate Valorant and be on the same tier as NA/EMEA but realistically they will be a bottom tier region

REASONS:

• China has a poor history in FPS games: no good CS or OW teams
• They've only been decent against KR and Japan, and neither of those regions are good internationally
• The game hasnt really been out so CN teams are dealing with the fact that they are 2 years behind every other region

i dont think i saw anyone say that

they have a billion people surely like 20 will be good.

China is inevitable

China has huge potential because they have a massive community

They can def yield some good teams in new games if given the support. The problem is as of now there is no support and they are trying to crack down on it as well.

they're good in Crossfire so if they want to be good in valorant i'm sure they will

i haven't seen anyone hype up china

The so called "China is good in esports" thing to get them in a esport doesn't count here because Valorant is a FPS and I don't remember what china did in CS:GO..

China has massive potential, also, they aren't talked about in general, wtf are you on about?

china have the biggest population therefore more people with cracked genetics therefore a higher chance to have the most potential
edit: nah i just saw that china is restricting gaming so there isn't much potential tbh

I think its the china orgs they are more invested in not so much the players... but on the other hand since it is a new game anything is possible.

i dont think they will be a bottom tier region, they chinese teams that competed internationally in cs were really bad but not horrible considering the game was not as popular there, if valorant becomes popular in china they will do fairly okay, maybe they struggle at first but in 2-3 years time they could be decent
