How do Envy (3rd seed) have easier bracket than SMB (2nd seed)?
Pool 1: NA #1, EMEA #1, KR #1, BR #1
Pool 2: NA #2, EMEA #2, LATAM #1, SEA #1
Pool 3: JP #1, BR #2, KR #2, EMEA #3
Pool 4: NA #3, SEA #2, JP #2, EMEA #4
A given team can't be on the same group, if they are on the same pool.
I wish it was a random shuffle with vertical alignment with pools being as follows.
Pool 1: EMEA#1,EMEA#2,EMEA#3,EMEA#4
Pool 2: NA#1,NA#2,NA#3,KR#1
Pool 3: KR#2,BR#1,BR#2,LAT#1
Pool 4: JP#1,JP#2,SEA#1,SEA#2
You shuffle each pool with regional seeds as weights and then choose the vertical alignment with the exception, that KR#1 and KR#2 can't have the same column.
So you would get something like:
Group one
SMB, NV, KRÜ, CR
Group two
ACE, VS, HL, ZETA
Group three
GMB, 100T, VIVO, PRX
Group four
G2, SEN, F4Q, BREN
Because of rng and how the pools work
It’s because every bracket has a #1 seed
Vs is the #1 seed in their bracket
Vivo keyd is the #1 seed in the envy bracket
On paper it’s balanced but envy got the weakest #1 seed
Just like acend ,envy got #3 seed but got a easier #1 seed
There is no use of crying about it since Berlin is so close and the production team will have pre scheduled everything
Changing matches is tougher than changing a format
Riot isn’t gonna do anything because it’s isn’t their error, it’s how the pools work and rng
