How much better r cs pros then val pros? Im asking this bc Im pretty sure if s1mple, zywoo, yekindar, niko, monesy, twistzz, and all the other good cs dudes can come to val and dominate. Im pretty sure if ppl like aspas, yay, derke, and all the other val ppl went to play cs they would get shit on even in tier 2.

stewie was dogshit when he quit cs lmaoooo
He won a major like FIVE years ago. He won grand slam with TL FOUR years ago.
Ever since then he has led Liquid's atmosphere to absolute dogpiss, so much that Twistzz had had enough and was like i'm out this bitch if u're not getting rid of this mf.
Then he bullied Grim while being absolute trash himself, wasnt listening to his igl's calls, insisted on IGL-ing when he was trash at it and team didnt want it. Got into a fight with his coach like a little child and tried to bully him too. ALL THIS WHILE BEING ABSOLUTE FUCKING TRASH AT THE GAME AND PLAYING LIKE A BOT. so basically ego for no reason at all.
then he went to eg for like 2 minutes, where he was still trash and was spending his time playing 10 valorant games a day while still being contracted to eg cs team then he quit to stream valorant.

In what way was this mf at a good level when he quit cs ? Lmaooo.
Nice one spreading misinformation to people that have no clue about cs at all, and are just too busy gurgling riot's balls to face reality.

you're right its cope. Cs fanboys changing narrative when it doesn't fit their story lmao. When nitr0 and ethan and now stewie switched over ppl say he easily dominate cause tier 1. Now they doing mid or not finding success they're bad and not tier 1 . When nitr0 switch back ppl called him washed cause valorant when he does badly. When he does good they say he's a good cs player. KEKW

This is kinda such massive cope/narrative changing lmao. When Ethan left to join valorant ppl were saying he is tier 1 and would dominate. Cs players always changing narrative to fit their story. This was same with nitr0 when he switch back ppl want him to do bad cause he switch and said he got washed by valorant. Then every time liquid start doing well or winning they'll say nitr0 had always been a good cs player. Insecure af mfs.

  • Katowice: Got destroyed
  • Antwerp: 0-3 KEKW
  • Rio: 2-3 and not even YEKINDAR could carry their asses to playoffs
  • Cologne: Got the easy group and still lost their opening match to Spirit and didnt face a single top5 all event (they beat cloud9 who was shit at that time so not a top team imo). Guess what happened in playoffs? Lost to Movistar riders which is a tier2 team at best

They havent made major playoffs in all of 2022 and the few times they did last year they werent even close to winning the event, its a dead team that can only hope Yekindar carries their ass to playoffs of big events from time to time

CS pros wouldn't immediately dominate val, the games arent similar enough for that to happen. Mechanically they'd surely be able to get radiant but they wouldn't be t1 pros for a while

#7

Way better because they're used to play against good aim, but not only that, they're used to "study" and dominate fundamentals of FPS overall.

They know how to study VODs, train properly, etc. Not even a T2 player know these things properly.

It's a different game that benifits from different individual playstyles and mechanics. A ton of former overwatch pros are now Valorant pros, just like CS. It's still a different game, but I'm sure a good amount of pro's from any game would be good if they switched.

Anybody who thinks cs pros can just come to valorant and dominate is as stupid as their statement is. S1mple’s first rank in early valorant was fucking plat. It’s not even close how different the two games are. Keep dreaming lil bro’s nobody from cs tier 1 can now dominate valorant without pursuing it for a very long time

#20
idkbro
0
Frags

The games are similar af, I dont understand this argument that they are not. And ofc no cs pro would dominate instantly, as talented mechanically as you can be if you dont know the game then you are at a huge disadvantage that better mechanics cant make up for

#23
meteorite
1
Frags

they aren't similar af at all thats like saying league pros could shit on dota pros cuz the games are similar af apparently lmao

#28
idkbro
0
Frags
+

I mean, it would be the other way around since Dota came first and League is kinda noobfriendly. Dota and League are ofc very similar games but the difference compared to Valorant/CS is that in Dota/League you need thousands of hours to masters very specific mechanics and champions but in CS/Valorant you win games by clicking the enemy head faster than them. Also its not even comparable the level of difficulty between Valorant utility and Dota/League abilities, in Valorant there is only Jett/Neon who have a high mechanical skill ceiling so the utility is mostly pretty easy to use since its just for support

#31
idkbro
-1
Frags
+

Seriously now, how can you say they arent similar? Like whats different? All the fundamental stuff from strategy to mechanics is pretty much the same, like if we say Valorant and CS arent similar then what game is similar? Does it have to be a literal copy to be similar? Dota and League are similar af too but your is a false equivalence since they differ a lot in the way you beat your opponent, in the end both Valorant/CS is just about clicking your enemy faster than they click you and its mostly crosshair placement so "raw aim" isnt even that important

  1. floppy didnt play more than 10 ranked games in his time in valorant and was one match away from making it to a LAN
  2. What are these arguments? Ofc they arent the same, they arent the same game but in the end they are almost the same which makes sense since its a game created with the intention of rivaling CSGO and with help from ex-csgo players/map makers/etc..
  3. Bro, getting detained by gekko might be shocking at first but unless you are retarded it wont be comprehensible but overall they are similar, since gunplay is very similar, macro gameplay is almost the same and the differences arent enough to claim they are completely different
#66

  1. You act like floppy joined some random tier 2 tier 3 team. literally set up on a team meant to succeed
2 and 3. They aren't the same. Some players that switch over will do fine to adjust to all the utilities. Some will struggle and straight up look like bots because too much shit going on. You are acting under assumptions all tier 1 cs players have the exact same skill set. There's already players that do worse in cs doing better in valorant and players that are good/fine in cs being mid af at valorant. Why do you think some cs players absolutely hate valorant ? They never adjusted to the utility aspects of it. Arguing that all tier 1 cs players will adjust and look like gods is dumb af.

It would probably take CS pros quite a while to be top tier in val. It's not obvious, but being able to use and react to enemy utility reflexively is quite hard, not to mention all the character specific tech CS pros would have to learn. I would say that comparing CS pros and Val pros is not fair and even the level of mechanical skill needed differs between the games.

What matters is that if s1mple switched and put his effort into becoming then he most likely would, we cant predict how long it would take him but players who are top tier in a hyper competitive scene like csgo are there for their work ethic so in the end they would 100% become top tier too and obviously they have talent advantage

dude stfu, stop this superiority complex just because you played an older game

all I said was that a CSGO player would require lots and lots of dedication, months of practice, knowing agents tactics, combinations and comps in order to achieve literally anything on Val. It IS a different game and pure aim won't win matches, everyone on competitive level has aim. This is not your platinum ranked queue.

Yes. Game knowledge is important especially in pro settings. But it doesn't change the fact that it would be easier for t1 csgo pros to make the switch.

#47
yuriito
0
Frags

that remains as an open question for me since they are t1 in CSGO so they obviously won't make the switch because it's riskier.

but a t1 csgo pro that plays valorant horribly is arT, I've watched his lives and he gets confused all the time with shift-peeking

imagine when he finds out about jumping shorty, right-click classic, walking freenzy, running phantom spray, ADS spray, shift-peek with vandal etc

This narrative is getting so old. Sure it was easier when the game was new and ppl don't know what they're doing. Tact fps experience helps. Now the scene in top tier 1 scene it just depends on the person. Some ex cs players can't find success while others are doing fine.

easier because new esports much easier opportunity. Anyone with tact fps switch over will do well. Once you give the game a more years in new franchise league tier 1 scene will be hard to break into. S1mple is like, immortal 3 or something. Or at least he was for a long while. Most mechanics translate sure but not all of the gamesense
Besides, csgo brain too small to understand any utility that isn’t on a lineup.

The only thing separating ascendants with radiants are teamwork, utility usage, and strategizing.
Their mechanics are immediately top tier. They only need time to understand how to use utility properly, and after that it's only a matter of what team they're in and how great the IGL of that team is.
In paper, the biggest factor of determining whether a cs pro can easily transfer to valorant is their in-game IQ, as godly aim in valorant is commonly seen and having one doesn't put you that far above other tier 2-tier 3 players.
