CS2 changes of tick rate doesnt do shit atleast in US where CS in general is dead. I played the game a few weeks back, it is unplayable because of ass matchmaking, cheaters and servers are just deserted. Valorant on the other hand is thriving, and I know alot of high elo Val players are ex CS players, but there are alot of new Val players joining to play the game where as CS is just old generation. I dont think CS can beat Valorant in US.

the game is basically what overwatch 2 was to overwatch. the fact they are calling it a new game instead of just a patch is mind boggling!

Exactly. This is something valve should've done 4+ years ago as an UPDATE. It's more of an update than an actual game.

if they made too many changes then it wouldnt really feel like CS.. it would just be another game and then people wouldnt be happy with that either. I agree about them taking too much time for updates, its almost as if Valve doesnt care about continuous improvement like Riot is.

Yeah, at least in the US no one is playing CS rn. But its a new game I bet a lot of valorant players that never played CS are going to try CS2 and thats a good thing. Also, a lot of pros that aren't in T2 will be switching over that's for sure.

Valorant's T1 and T2 spots are filled for an entire year. The probability of you taking a T1 or T2 spot now in valorant is lower than the probability of getting on a new team in a new game. One would switch because they have better opportunities at the new game.
