Instead of making dumb and useless predictions/power rankings all the time, the wisemen actually talks about the game and how the scene works and that sort off stuff
Nah. Most of platchat have recency bias only make predictions based on recent stats and even their individual evaluation of a player is always based on team performance n winning which is easy to do and has no nuance to it imo. If you are to make predictions make them bold and make a logical argument for it. That's why I like Bren the most, people say he has wild takes but I feel like he makes the most sense out of all of them tbh.
Same concept, different content.
Plat Chat is for the casuals/gateway to Valorant -- basically, the fun side of podcasting where they can theory craft.
The Wisemen is for the player's psychological and analytics -- a pro's perspective of how the game works.
There's no point in comparing the two just because they do Valorant podcasts.
the plat chat guys and gals have been doing an incredible job with the show from overwatch into valorant now. sideshow bren balla and co know what they're talking about, they're entertaining, and the production is top notch. they're different shows anyway since i've always been big on guests and long interviews on my esports shows over the years (live on three, many of the scuffed podcast segments, etc). im down to banter with them as i think it's fun and can create cool moments, but instead of saying one is better than the other be thankful that valorant esports is doing well enough to support two english shows with good viewership and engagement. we only just started anyway, we've got a long way to go to catch up to those folks.
watch and support both! :O)
