its the main reason Acend over performed in 2021. Teams didnt ban Bind and it was BY FAR their best map.

Acend didn't overperform... They were top EMEA team for most of 2021. People just didn't follow EMEA and have no idea what they are talking about. Acend was just up there if not better at times than teams like Gambit, Liquid etc. Like its true that teams weren't banning Bind as much, but that wasn't the only reason why they did well. Especially during era where most teams didn't have as good map pools anyway.

i honestly think that acend got robbed in challengers 2 qualifiers in that bo1. they were miles better than fnatic and liquid in my opinion. on another note, i fully expected guild and fpx to make it to masters reykjavik 2021 over TL and fnatic, but i really didnt know much about them.

Yeah EMEA format was like single elimination or something if I'm not wrong. Even Sentinel lost their first game in NA, but they weren't out because NA format was much better early 2021. If I remember it correctly, didn't follow as closely back then. And yeah FPX was definitely the favorites to make it to Reykjavik 2021, but played bad and did weird stuff IIRC. Fnatic was on classic honeymoon period with Derke and Magnum popping off, and Liquid finally found their form and were playing some different stuff compared to most other teams. Also individually their roster was one of the best at the time I think.

If teams had banned bind Acend would have lost.

I don’t think anyone can argue that simple fact. They basically lost to one of the weakest teams in the tournament.

common bro these are red bull tourneys ; teams dont take it seriously ;;; but VCT tourneys ; challengers, master ; there u see GAmbit/M3C record ...and in 2022 they thrased ascend hard ik for sure in games where it matters

complete opposite, acend trashed every EMEA teams in the most important matches always. Stage 3 EU challengers 1 winners, The first team to qualify masters berlin by beating Gambit 2-1. Also, 2022 didnt even have the same acend roster lmao. People who never watched 2021 EMEA says acend fluked against Lulquid (the most overrated roster of 2021) and Gambit, whom they beat majority of the times.

They were never dominant on bind like OPTC, they lost to DRX then beat G2, next tourney got destroyed by OPTC and FPX???

G2 were one of the best IMO. Their Bind and Icebox were really good while rest of their maps were pretty bad.

bro M3C was better than them on bind ; however on ICEBOX i do agree that they(G2) only started with 3 sentinels comp; which was later copied by fnatic and G2 cant keep up for long

In 2022 M3C has 73%(8-3) winrate on Bind (+1 win as GMB if I'm not wrong making it 75% as well) and G2 has 75%(9-3) winrate agains similar level teams and last time they faced on Bind G2 won 13-10.

OpTic hands down i can't believe this is even a debate

Optic only lost a single bind game in the last 6 months internationally, against Loud
Many teams would switch their permabans around just to ban Bind against them

Honorable Mentions to FNC and PRX's Yoru Comp but nobody else comes close in the last 6 months
