With the recent s1mple vs shroud debate you could clearly see that especially people from NA tend to have a very high opinion about him. Like there were actually people saying that shroud is in a similar class of skill as s1mple.

To all the people from NA, do you ACTUALLY believe that shit?

Like on international stages back in CS he used to be bang average at best. Literally all majors accept one he had a negative k/d ratio. Now here in Valorant people ACTUALLY suggested that he should be picked up by a franchised team, cuz he had 1 good map out of 7 or something. When they played against the guard that trent kid literally ripped his head off 12 - 1.

What do people notice that aint a zoomer who doesnt know these names? Literally everybody can see that these guys are/were absolutely incredible if it comes to their talent. Nobody in Europe or south america thinks that shroud is one of them.

He is in the same caliber of players as Draken, nex and Aizy, and nothing more.

i never thought shroud was that good comparatively to the other T1 cs/val talent, not really sure what started all the hype behind him. he's a good player, don't get me wrong, but not as good as other T1 pros

I have to strong disagree there.
Passion for a game is the biggest factor on if you can go and stay pro or not; are you willing to grind the game with the intention of improving every day for multiple years?
I don't, I want to play games for fun. I don't wanna review my own games to see why I'm losing; id just rather call it "unlucky" and queue up again. And that's exactly why Ill never be a pro in these games.

Welcome to why most former pros end up being "washed" once they stop competing despite often still playing a ton of the game.

If you want to see a direct example of it, look at when OW2 released and how much pros from other games were struggling vs completely average players. Theres no magical "youre good at shooters!" gene, its just that these pros work their asses off.

I don't understand why people got so mad about Shroud saying he wasn't as good as simple because he didn't have as much passion. Is the argument that s1mple is really better than shroud because of genetics? Wouldn't saying it was due to him just being genetically better dismiss all of the passion he puts into the game?
