To each their own, but I think Black Clover is a really good series. The manga is great, and the show is a great watch.
The story is pretty good, the characters are pretty dope, and the pacing is good.
For me, Black Clover's main strength is in character writing (to some extent). The female characters are written well; they are sick in their own right and have memorable qualities, aren't seen as non-sequitur love interests or fan service, and have powers that fit them.
But I will say that Black Clover's downside is that they don't have deaths. There have been characters that could've died many times, but they all escaped death somehow. I understand the writer is trying to create emotional attachments but deaths would make the series more impactful and give that extra push from being a good shonen to a top shonen.
