NA Ascension/Challengers tournament is going to be more fun than franchised league. TSM/G2/OpTiC/FaZe/XSET/V1
1- It's the only way to be in franchised league.
2-Lot of T1 players will be left out
3-Hope RIOT will only consider the orgs who play in Ascension tournament for their next franchising evaluation after 4 years.
Issue is that none of these teams have confirmed to be participating in ascension, especially with most having released their players. A chance to qualify may not be enticing enough for orgs to stay, and I highly doubt that g2 will remain in NA since they were mainly going for the spot here
Most haven't released their players, that's why nearly all the people looking for teams have said they are "restricted free agents".
that is literally the reason why riot made a tournament named ascension, most teams will play in ascension especially since u wouldnt have to pay players really good salary it just has to be good enough so there wont be internal issues and stuff
What do you think if you were their owner? Would you stay in T2 despite played in almost every international LAN but didn’t get a spot in the league?
Doubt Optic stays in valorant, other than that, thats the point of the ascension league is to provide quality games when the partnership games aren't running and to have valorant year round basically, teams should definitely invest in teams for it imo. If there is prize pools it'll make it more worth for teams but still will be solid.
Optc is confirmed to leave I think but it doesn’t really matter tho, amount of players is the same, the roster just will have a different name, gonna be insane anyway
