Valorant is more hyped because we finally get to see everyone on LAN(first) and the different story line(EU vs NA, Asian teams) that goes with it.
For CS everyone is just hating on Gambit lmao and mostly people are tired with navi and gambit finals. but FaZe and Astralis was a good surprise. G2 doing so damn good was expected but also unexpected(because they always choke in semis) and S1mple just destroying everyone was insane to watch.
Hot take: while the venue for Iceland was super novel, it was really just some smoke machines and large (really cool) neon structures in a giant studio warehouse. I mean, if you look at the MSI set for example, it's significantly more traditional but I think it's visually more appealing than the darker warehouse aesthetic VCT had. Again, it was novel and it was fine, but calling it crazy is a bit overkill imo
But if you're talking in relation to IEM Cologne... well yeah, ESL cut a lot of corners with the event and they don't have the deep pockets of Riot. Also, ESL is notorious for their milk vanilla toast broadcasts, though some like proper Cologne are still really nice.
I mean it can’t really be compared yet because this is a studio lan. It’s LAN but in a studio, just making with what they have to work with. I think they didn’t even know that this was going to be a LAN yet till like two weeks before. They aren’t in the arena/stadium or venue so they can’t really have crazy effects, lightning, etc.
CSGO the bestest. In comparation to Valorant its like football to curling. CSGO events are proper and it will sold out stadiums after covid again. Valorant tournaments will be like they played in a library with dying viewer numbers. You cant minus this how much you can, just shows how your saltiness cant deal with reality Valorant being so shit. No arguments against mine whats so ever
the valorant LAN is the first time ever the teams met up, of course it is more hyped. No one saw FNC vs SEN before, and everyone wondering which region will perform the best and everything is unknown
this CSGO LAN although is the first LAN event in like 2 years, the teams playing have already played against each other multiple times in the last 2 years, so it is definitely less hyped.

See the problem on here is no one will ever admit. HLTV has some negative posts but so does this website. HLTV also has 4x as many active users than this website too. There will be retards and toxic people everywhere. And I know people made posts about the Valorant iceland lan, but it was definitely not as much as how many posts were here.

i have never watched a cs pro game ever, my first time watching a lan was iceLAN. i enjoyed both tbh, valorant had better off game setting, but so many tech pauses. s1mple went insane and i really enjoyed the casting, but i feel like valorant casters have more freedom cause they be talking about such unrelated shit sometimes. i turned off chat for both events cause its very cringe how much the fans think they have a monopoly on fps games. overall would watch cs major finals again, will watch most berlin games too just cause i personally play valorant and understand it better.
Hello, if you are ever truly interested in watching a CS lan event. I’d recommend watching the Boston Major in 2018. By far the best and most exciting major in CS so far and maybe the best major in all of gaming or FPS wise. Amazing matches with amazing crowds. Sadly I was on a hiatus from the PC during this period of time and had no idea about the major or that c9 won till like a year later.
And yes Valorant casters suck, the only good one is DDK who was a CS caster. CS casters are just another tier imo.
