grow up man.
professional esports/streaming are completely legitimate careers, and players should hold themselves to a higher standard. nobody should say this shit, especially not a pro player.
go to your coworker, go to a customer at the mcdonalds you work at, tell someone to kill themselves, see what happens. in every other field you'd see repercussions immediately, if you think getting posted on twitter is bad you'd get fired from different jobs for saying the same
and yet, both are part of massive businesses where people are employed under a boss (in the pro player's case, the org). in either case, higher ups DO NOT want to be associated to people who say shit like this.
also, saying shit like "ranked in a videogame" is incredibly disingenuous. gaming is the largest part of the entertainment industry, and pro players rely on them to earn a living. simplifying it to "just a game" does not properly represent that these people are dependent on the games to live their lives, much like how you and I rely on our jobs
yeah i agree it definitely shouldn't end his career, i don't care about this justice culture on the internet, but at the same time i can't vouch for him being a one time thing and he didn't mean it either, so it's up to him to show how sincere he is to the court of the internet
that's what I'm saying
if it was a one time thing imo him just apologizing to otom and making an apology and recognising his mistake should be enough, but the twitter people might not agree
nah but like he could say it every game, but no one actually means that
It's a thing people used to say in competitive games, and it was never meant for someone to actually do it
Final word: He should not have said it, he shouldnt say it in the future, and if he doesnt everyone should just leave him alone
if he keeps doing it then idk, hes trying to sell his chances as a pro val player
