Always felt like that tbh, but now they have proven it to me. The event would have been much more competitive if we had teams like Acend or FPX there. lets hope we get the best of europe in berlin

They were the only team which had the balls to try something new and unorthodox , FNC with the triple controller and Liquid with the double flash and still they went close with FPX/G2
Don't change the things that work, it's a double elimination bracket they just had to win 2 out of the 3 first matches. No excuses
They faced NA with the things that worked and they lost so definitely there must be a reason that they shifted off the track
But Boaster is a very good IGL imo , he wont just try triple controller on their best map if there werent a reason and Liquid wanted to play around Scream a bit
I honestly thought that they didn't really face any big teams to get their way to Masters 2. Like neither of them played Acend or Heretics to get to where they were.
Granted, TL and FNC were still phenomenal teams so it's not like they didn't earn their spot in the end.
There's no such thing like fluke in competition.
For whatever reason, even if ACEND / FPX is stronger than TL and FNC in ability. When they need to win they can't win.
Thus they can't prove themselves as the strong one. So TL / FNC is stronger. In the end the winner always the stronger.
I know your memeing, but BBG beating SEN wasn’t a fluke. They simply out strated them, we saw it a lot at that time because of the period between between matches. They played the better game, even ShahZ at the time said the same thing.
True, they wouldve choked on stage aswell if they cant even make it to chaölenger finals. Its no like they just randomly lost they probably made many mistakes, but now acend and g2 look super strong, i dont know about fpx tho
we can confirm if they fluked after berlin qualifiers. why? TL were destined to lose against v1, (theres a reddit thread where sliggy explains abt that) and for fnc if you look at most of the round on spilt and haven derke choked so hard by not patiently holding angles and could have got first bloods. idk what happened to him after their match against sen. Ik no one cares abt excuses but its early to call if they fluked.
i cant find the real one as it didnt have many upvotes, this one still shows they were a bit unlucky when v1 caught them off guard link it basically said eu were shit at using astra= higher skill celling and vanity's was perfect, n thats why they lost so many mid gun rounds in split and ascent.
Masters 2 EU qualifiers for EMEA tournament were severely flawed(single bracket format, practically no break after Masters 1 and all that), but Riot has now fixed that with Masters 3 EU qualifiers for EMEA. I still think that Fnatic can go through the next qualifiers and actually have a decent chance at going for EMEA tournament, as they always have some sort of unorthodox stuff going on(with decent preperation) that can allow them to cheese their way through competition. Liquid on the other hand, they seem to have hit their peak on Masters 2 EMEA as they didn't improve at all when it came to Reykjavik LAN therefore I don't have much hope for them.
I think both liquid and fnatic should make it through the next challengers. Both are super strong teams with a great mentality.
The point of all this is that TL and FNC were the best two teams in the EMEA finals when they qualified but probably not the two best teams three weeks later when Iceland began. Acend and G2 are the top 2 right now, but will they keep that in three weeks for the EMEA finals with Kay/o? Is the meta what flukes
How do fnatic fluke into masters and simultaneously make it to grandfinals of masters? Doesn't make sense, unless your proposition is, that other EMEA teams would've been so dominant, that they would've won the grandfinals easily.
He just salty eu didnt win. People really cant accept losses can they. Yes the bracler was shit but acend los ttwice 2 0 in quarterfinals, once against vitality wich didnt even make it past fnatic
People should just acvept they made it fair and square to masters with a dominant performance in zhe challengers finals
I’m pretty sure most people knew that FNC and TL were not the best EU teams when they qualified. However, they were probably top 5.
Same thing happened in NA. V1 was barely a top 5 team from NA.
Luckily for NA Sen, the best team from NA, did manage to qualify and they showed why they are the best team in NA.
If 100T and Sen both make Berlin, I wouldn’t be shocked to see NA in the top 2 spots.
I also wouldn’t be shocked to see cNed lead his team to 1st place. If he can play on lan as well as he does online, that’s a scary team.
