Does Singapore have a very large esports scene? I would think if riot would hold an event in APAC it would be either in JP because of the large fanbase or in KR because of the existing infrastructure. I don't think SG/MY has either of those lol
How the hell are people like you so clueless about the game they are invested in? SEA has literally one of the biggest playerbases in valorant. Countries like Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore have a lot of valorant players. Also what infrastructure do you need dude? Esport events mean renting arenas and putting on a good show.
Singapore does have the infrastructure, they recently held the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022 because it was hard for players to get visas to travel to Europe.

I'd assume that it's because getting visas, especially for the Russian players, would be really hard but apparently esports players are given P-1A visas for American events so I don't really know anymore
Istanbul is the best possible place we could've gotten for Champions as of right now.
- Most central time zone, making times more convenient for East Asia along with the West
- Guaranteed good crowd with Turkish fans
- Eased visa access for all regions

My best guess why rito keeps making events in Europe because they wanna steal cs:go audience / eSports scene since their base is in Europe.
