- CS:GO: very entertaining scene and good formats with lots of tournaments, big culture and lots of events
-gap- - League of Legends: very big and complex but has two problems: the ecosystem is too controlled by riot and its hard to understand the game if you dont play it
- Valorant: Very cringe community but it the scene is very worldwide rather than concentrated in one region
- CoD: CDL is pretty entertaining sometimes
- R6: I dont watch but it seems cool
- Rocket League: decent ig
- Apex: battle royale who cares
- Fortnite: no reason needed
- Dota 2: same as LoL but no one cares
- Overwatch: who???

I feel like a game as complex as R6 was destined to never have a massive fanbase, it's hard ash for a casual to understand what's going on with all the different gadgets and abilities and cameras, and the map complexity definitely doesn't help. Games like valorant with it's flashy highlights and csgo with it's simple to understand but complex to master gameplay were literally built to be massive esports scenes

if you are talking about league, the esports scene is kinda meh: bad formats, 2 international lans a year (lol), regions dont seem to improve regardless of getting spots in every event, cringe community, full of leftists, not based at all, basically same shitshow every year where fans get to watch poor formated regional leagues and then international lans where korea and china destroy everybody except in rare cases where an EU team has a good performance, so boring also the fans are literally 80% casuals who dont know shit about the game, the competitive scene is literally meant to attract casuals, it feels like twitter football where idiots just say the most braindead stuff

Rocket League is literally the perfect esports. No luck factors involved at all. Everyone can understand it but its impossible to master. Its the game that comes closest to reallife sports and you can watch it with your boomer dad or children
It isnt perfect but tbh no esport is
- Its got little 3rd party tournaments (i know gamers8 just happened but before that for a whole year theres basically 0 3rd party tournys)
- Current format snowballs teams that do good in the 1st split and doesnt have an LCQ so you end up with teams like SMPR going to worlds who arent even top 10 EU, and also Liquid top 3 team EU atm arent going either
- Using shitty university and college esports for tier 2 and amatuer scene which only really works in NA
- Its gotten a lot better in the past 2 years but minor regions still bad servers and even eastern europe i dont think has great servers, 99% of eu playerbase is western eu.
true it has a lot of stuff to fixx but there is big potential for the future
also i dont really mind that there isnt taht many 3rd party tournaments since there is a lot to watch in the normal RLCS format
and isnt the olympic games also considered 3rd party (it was regional this time but they were partners of the olympic games where they played for countries instead of orgs)
