Let's rate people depending on how they answer these 5 controversial questions:

1) Does Japan deserve a slot to Masters?
2) Was KRU's run a fluke?
3) Does NiP's win against Fnatic prove anything?
4) Is APAC better than NA?
5) Is Chet a sore loser?

Answer only yes/no for every question

1) Does Japan deserve a slot to Masters?
Yes. Every region deserves at least 1 spot

2) Was KRU's run a fluke?
No, but they didn't improve like everyone else

3) Does NiP's win against Fnatic prove anything?
Yes, that Brazil improved since Champions. I don't think br teams on Masters 2 and 3 would win this fnatic even with h1ber and fearoth.

4) Is APAC better than NA?
No. I think both regions are kinda balanced

5) Is Chet a sore loser?
Yes

1) No, korea owns japan
2) Yes, pistol Kru lost to washed up lulquid on neon in the worst form of their life
3) FNC at full strength lost 2-0 to fpx and 3-0 to g2, of course they will lose with 2 players down
4) How many times do xerxia have to beat optic to prove they are better, NA is just so free
5) Chet, WHOMEGALUL
kekw
in all seriousness
1) no, should put japan in apac and give apac another
2) I am unsure on whether to say it was a fluke but I don't see KRU seeing close to that success
3) yes, most people still thought fnc would win despite 2 stand ins
4) depends on guard but I would say yes
5) yes

would rather them both join apac, but if only japan can merge then I would rather Japan+Korea

1) Do they deserve one? No. Does it make sense form them to have one for the sake of improving one of the largest scenes in Valorant? Yes.

2) No. Anyone can see the steady and amazing improvements they made throughout the year. They played amazing, and that’s it. Honestly, despite how wack the situation with Onur was, you can see how his departure has affected their team. I view their run at Champs like Sentinels at Iceland last year: They were absolutely amazing, but it was their peak.

3) It proves that the teams in Brazil are improving. A lot of people discounting this win are ignoring the fact that NiP looked SO much better here than in their region against LOUD. Their improvements (I’m assuming from just scrimming internationally) have been pretty great to see. If you’re asking if NiP have proven their better than EMEA top representatives, then I’d probably say no with an asterisks of *but they haven’t proven their NOT better than EMEA top representatives 👀

4) My NA pride is rearing it’s head, but I think NA and APAC are pretty equal right now. XERXIA is another team I think has upped their game dramatically from their regional performance, and that game against OPTIC was a showcase of their improvements in just a few weeks. I think the overall average strength of NA’s teams is better, but you could certainly argue that APAC’s top teams trump NA’s at the moment.

5) Didn’t watch the interview everyone’s talking about, so can’t say. Don’t really care either, sorry 😅

1) Does Japan deserve a slot to Masters?
Should merge with KR. BR + LATAM should also be merged.

2) Was KRU's run a fluke?
10000%. Definitely yes.

3) Does NiP's win against Fnatic prove anything?
Yes. EMEA teams (besides FPX and GMB) are overrated.

4) Is APAC better than NA?
No.

5) Is Chet a sore loser?
Yes.

Im just going to answer normally, not yes or no, sorry

1) Does Japan deserve a slot to Masters?
Yes, but only do to viewship numbers, if it was based solely on gameplay, maybe they should only qualify via LCQ

2) Was KRU's run a fluke?
I dont think it was a fluke, but it was very momentum based. Nevertheless their level has droped a lot since Onur(their last year's coach) left the team

3) Does NiP's win against Fnatic prove anything?
Yes! Maybe with FNCs full roster the result wouldve been different, but it show our growth as a region. Regardless of how well FNC played, NIP were playing really well, also Loud still havent played and they can only look even better.

4) Is APAC better than NA?
Been looking like that since Champions. I dont think APAC have to show more(like some people's copium say) to prove they are better, since NA hasnt shown much for almost a year internationally. Last good result was on Berlin(M2), and Envy got to finals only beating NA teams

5) Is Chet a sore loser?
I dont know who that is, but if thats being questioned, then probably yes

  1. yes but not directly, i think you combo them with korea until a japanese team finally gives ok results

  2. no, onur was a big impact on kru in terms of strats and team coordination, and without him both are kinda gone

  3. yes but only really for nip, they look really good compared to domestic performance whereas fnc already looked a bit shaky before the subs

  4. no, i would be more behind this if apac won more, but as of right now only beating optic doesn't mean anything when they're easily one of the worst teams when it comes to prepping for opponents

  5. yes, granted being mad over a loss like that isn't inherently bad, just chet's reasoning shows what a dogshit understanding he has of the game

1) Does Japan deserve a slot to Masters?

YES -- high viewership region with like 200k+ peak viewers in the final, certainly some large orgs willing to stay around and invest. Only gets better from here on out
2) Was KRU's run a fluke?

YES -- KRU didn't seem SUPER strong beforehand, having been at both M2 Reykjavik and M3 Berlin and not doing that well. That being said, their skill at this point isn't just the team's fault, with Onur leaving and other external issues, it's more hard to find success.

3) Does NiP's win against Fnatic prove anything?

YES -- NiP is certainly a good team, but they're still from the mad underrated region of BR. Perhaps with Derke and BraveAF the matches would've changed, but the ultimate point is BR is certainly catching up, and the lines of who is SUPER AHEAD in this new meta begin blurring.

4) Is APAC better than NA?

NO -- I'm from NA so everyone will call me out for being a fanboy, but I think there are certain things that APAC still has to work on. They have the firepower and the incredibly nutty aim from F0resaken and Jingg, as well as Sushiboys we've seen from them. But there's still some stuff they have to work on, repeatedly slapping OpTic in the face is not a guaranteed indicator.

5) Is Chet a sore loser?

YES -- I can understand why he responds that way though. After losing, you're not going to be focused as much on how your team could've played better, but more so targetting other issues. It happens, that doesn't mean he isn't a sore loser.

1) Depends on covid restrictions in the future. If we can get consistent APAC lan qualifiers, then merging all East, South East, and South Asian countries would be really great. I think it would raise costs by a lot, but then we will have much more local rivalries and overall more interesting meta's in Japan because they can interact more with other APAC countries then probably. Being shit on at Masters and Champions doesn't help as much as being given 2 spots in a large ass group stage more local teams.

2) I really don't like the term Fluke Run personally, if you get a run, you deserve it, but considering what most people consider flukes, I guess it is one. People can always say that Onur used to be on the team or something, but let's be honest, they were playing out of their minds. KRU have really great players, and even I like to watch them, but they were just playing exceptionally well that day. Everyone was just on point.

3) Not really TBH, I feel like we have to see what happens with Fnatic, Fnatic literally lost Derke and Brave, that's a shit ton of players. I feel like the next match will really prove stuff, DRX are quite possibly one of the best teams in the world, NIP having even just a decent game against them will be a lot.

4) No? Depends on what you consider APAC, if you consider KR and JP as a part of APAC, but just like side regions like CIS and Turkey, then maybe. KR just having DRX is enough to make APAC better than NA considering you have so much variety and talented players.

5) No of course not, chet is the best coach NA.
