Easy say than done. So many things you have to keep track of and there should be a reason why they havent done that. Usually bad exploits are fixed. Also, csgo has a lot of exploits too, but have you seen any team or players getting punished in big tourneys? No right? Cuz they know enough to not do it. You should know it too, the fact that you are playing in Champions and two prev teams have been dqd before.

The only thing that this whole situation changed for me is that I wanted to see an upset from Brazillian teams, like FURIA taking down KRU and Sentinels to qualify for the playoffs.
Now it would be hard for me to cheer for any BR teams at all with how their community reacted. The second I saw Starxo dance up after the victory I know it's not gonna end well now, and surprise surprise, Acend players get the crap now. Get a grip of yourself people.

I don't think Riot updated the ruling because of backlash. They just made yet another mistake and miscalculated the rounds in the first ruling and had to redo it. Apparently, vk won only 3/6 of those cam rounds, not 4. So only 3 can be overturned.

I'm still baffled that they didn't just dq the team that used the exploit

Bad ruling, should never have come to this point anyway. If a bad referee decision changes the outcome of a real sports match, the game is not replayed, let alone overturned. Imagine if a world cup match was overturned because the referee missed a penalty, then replayed instead after people cried. There would literally be riots

I understand there is precedent with x10 and vgia but the problem is that the precedent is stupid. The fact that you are all ok with allowing riot to overturn the result of a match after the fact, at their discretion, is insane. If Furia vs SEN was stopped to investigate an "exploit" that wasnt actually an exploit, then this game shouldve been stopped too considering this exact bug has been used and punished before. If a foul is not noticed by a referee, it is not a foul. Its like this in all real sports because then you get braindead situations like this by trying to overturn the result of a match instead.

On the contrary, I thought that the explanation of the round swaps was very logically explained and reasonable. Acend played 6 rounds where the exploit was used. Riot swapped all six rounds in favor of Acend (effectively 4 since Acend had won 2 of those rounds) plus 2 rounds for economic damage after losing 4 potentially winnable rounds (not even considering the economic loss of picks gone against Acend even in the 2 rounds they won due to map knowledge garnered by the illegal cam).

The final decision to do a rematch after Riot had ruled in favor of Acend was because of the huge uproar from the Brazilian community who were spamming things like #JusticeforVivoKeyd on Twitter and trying to play the victim card even though it was the Brazilian team using the exploits.

Different sports have different rules. esports is not rely a sport it does t have to be treated as such it differs from football in that in football 99.9% of fouls occur around the ball as opposed to each person being able to cheat

Here's an idea: FIX YOUR GAME RIOT
I can't imagine it would be that difficult to fix a known exploit like this in advance of the biggest tournament to date. I always find it odd when there has to be rules to prevent players from doing something that's part of the game. Obviously things that ruin the competitive integrity by giving someone an unfair advantage should be banned, but at the same time it should be one of the developers top priorities to patch such bugs and exploits that can have such an effect on a game. When these things aren't addressed in a timely manner it's inevitable that something of this nature will happen, intentionally or not. And if there are known exploits that can't easily be fixed in advance, I feel like the esports community has seen this type of situation be poorly handled enough times that T.O.s (and Riot in this case) should be prepared with actual procedures and guidelines to deal with these exploits when they happen. All that people are asking for is consistency in how things are handled when it comes to punishments for teams that break the 'rules', and I have yet to see that on any front from Riot throughout Valorant's lifespan.
