I know, I know, there's already been outrage over this. But I entertained the idea of maybe going to Masters Toronto. I looked at the tickets and almost threw an uppercut at my monitor.

WTF are we doing, dude? 125-dollar GF tickets are now being resold at 500 AT THE CHEAPEST?!?!? I heard the numbers when people were complaining, but actually seeing them is nuts.

Any and every scalper deserves to be shot out of a cannon into the Grand Canyon.

In 1995, your buddy or coworker might've bought a ticket and upsold it to you for like $50 more dollars.

But this shit is strictly because of the internet. You have Greg's in their basement, setting up 3000 bots to buy up all the tickets and then reselling them for 2x-10x the price. 1K for two tickets to a VALORANT event. Which is way more niche than a music festival or something more popular to the general public.

If we take the median salary for the ENTIRE WORLD, it comes to roughly $1,500 per month. You are asking people to spend almost A BAND to come and watch G2 choke another finals. No meals, rent or anything for the rest of the month, but you can watch Jonah (JohnPork) P drop a Pi in game 5.

They were fully sold out and being resold for 900+ in my area only 3 hours after they came out.

Not that it's the end of the world, though... you can still go to an upper round playoff game for as little as $32. But yeah, sucks that it's virtually impossible to go to the grand final

USA and Canada have enough fan base to fill the arena easily. I would say probably Ontario has enough fans that would buy the ticket if it weren't for these scalpers.

$300 flight
$275 a night hotel (for 2 nights, so $550) - expensive because I chose the hotel on-site for the tournament, you can get a cheaper further one
this isn't even including food or transport
it's just sad man
