Since changes are going to be made and you're so ass at fixing the competitive scene (at least with t2) I thought I would help you out a little, just some of my ideas.

VCT Fixes

  • Ascension winning teams must retain at least 3/5 players from their ascension winning roster, this way it gives the people who actually won ascension a shot at playing in tier 1, however if the team underperforms at kickoff they are allowed to make any changes with the team.
  • Dropped players will get a 6 month grace period where riot themselves will pay the league minimum (5k a month) until they find another team, only applies to players who have played at least 2 matches with the team and are not a sub.
  • If possible, lower the age restriction to 16, there are many ways to bypass the child labor laws throughout the world especially for esports/sports in general but it's still difficult to do so.

Challengers Fixes

  • Get rid of SOOP from Sea
  • Double the current prize pools throughout all of the challenger league events, this way it gives players who cannot compete in VCT (because of this stupid ass age restriction) a place to actually earn some cash.
  • Include tournaments where the top teams from each region will play each other before the actual ascension event (like EMEA), these will help teams that start off strong but might dip down a bit still qualify for ascension (maybe like championship points for challengers in the Americas at least and maybe pacific).
  • Orgless teams in Tier 2 will be given a pretty small salary by riot themselves (maybe like 1k a month or something nothing big) just to help encourage and grow the scene so people are more incentified to actually play in tier 2 even without an org

GC Fixes

  • Halve the prize money at GC champs, no shot the GC prize pool is the same as a first masters event, use this money to help build tier 2. And for the people who don't think this is a good idea, the entire idea of GC is to help foster talent for people to get into tier 2/tier 1, not to stay in GC because the money is already better than tier 2.

for GC if you look at the distribution of the prize pool they dont get as much for winning, its just spread out more. its champs so makes sense really that they are the same. plus depends on the sponsorships n sales. i get the idea cos T2 is pretty miserable but taking away from GC isnt gonna fix it. just bring T2 up, add more sponsors and get ppl more interested in it

GC gets exponentially less views than tier 1 and tier 2 yet having the same prize pool of a kickoff masters event and 5 times the amount of a region's ascension prize pool. Taking away from GC and focusing more on tier 2 is going to help the scene more, having more funding and more prize pools makes players and more importantly orgs, more incentivized to actually compete it in.

Also the entire idea of GC is to let women/other people besides men develop talent so they can go into tier 1 and tier 2, not stay in the same place for years on end because its 100 times better funded than tier 2/tier 1. This idea lets GC players be more incentivized to actually get and foster the talent to join tier 2 and tier 1 teams, if they don't they can still play in GC with a still pretty big prize pool. And unless you make the prize pool for ascension the same as GC champs then why would teams like G2 Gozen or SRG have any incentive to play in that instead of GC?

the entire point of GC is to burn money so women can have space in the val community and if they have a space they buy skins and riot makes the double or more of the money burnt anything else is a added bonus

its obvious its gonna be less than T1 but T2 the GC GF alone got 464,695 views at peak and the peak for all 4 regions ascension combined was 470,003 so they do get alot of views so it would make no sense to defund that when it makes just as much. there is more prize pool clearly bcos they have more viewer ship then, and sponsors. there is a problem with T2 but defunding another isnt gonna help, cos you might aswell just say defund T1 and put that into T2, its gonna hurt it more bcos then youre just going to cause the problem to exist in GC. youre just moving the issue elsewhere. level the field from below not bring it down.

i just translated your post to what he hears if he ever reads this:
hey le0 faria lose money here lose money there double the money of the league where you lose more money if team makes a dumb pick up please be sure to lose more money on them also get into politics and lose more money and last of all the streaming platform that is giving you money please be sure to dropkick them so you can lose even more money give charity salaries too while your at it

only thing that can help T2 is if they do a skin bundle recolors of old skins like champs 2021 and allow gambling websites to sponsor team which is just ethically wrong

I don't think you know how esports work, if riot themselves holds back on spending money into developing a good structure in their esports then orgs and sponsors aren't going to invest lmao. Tier 2 orgs like DarkZero have no reason to stay around after the season is over and orgs themselves have no reason to actually build a roster, just pick up the best team at the time like Rankers and hope it works out. The difference between Valorant Esports and a game that riot actually invests in like League is night and day.

It's called an investment, dropping more money now to make more from viewership and sponsors later on.

I think the idea behind forcing retaining the roster is good, but there are a number of issues with it like having underage players. Or you could have a player absolutely crash out like zap did this year and you'd have to retain their toxic ass. And I'd like there to be a lower age restriction, but it just wont happen. Having to manage that in 4 different countries plus securing work visas for them for Masters events is so untenable, there's really no point in even asking for it

That's why I said you only need to keep 3/5 and changes can be made if the team does bad at kickoff which is exactly the case for 2g
