Riot Games Removes APEKS from VCT EMEA and Promotes CGN Esports
After careful consideration, Riot Games has made the decision to remove APEKS from the VALORANT Champions Tour and VCT EMEA. APEKS was terminated due to its failure to comply with critical reporting requirements and other key obligations under the Team Participation Agreement (TPA). Removal of a team from the Riot Games esports ecosystem is not something we take lightly. However, due to persistent operational failures, APEKS will no longer participate in VCT EMEA to protect the best interest of the players(especially) and the league. The individual players affected were informed of the decision as soon as it was made to allow them to explore other opportunities as quickly as possible.
In line with our commitment to merit-based qualification, CGN Esports, the third-placed from Ascension EMEA 2024, will be promoted into the vacated slot. This change does not affect 2026 formats for VCT EMEA; the league will go forward with 12 teams as planned.

they're kinda stuck in a damned if you do damned if you dont position because batu is very obviously the better yoru player but he's also their best sentinel player so their options are:
- put flor back on jett/raze/neon, ignore the yoru meta
- run double duelist with batu on yoru and either bite the bullet with no senti comps or move molsi/governor to senti
neither are particularly appealing tbh but i think they should try moving gov to senti, see if that makes a difference
flor's kinda in a bad spot, like yoru is clearly being the meta despite her not being actually a great yoru herself, and the rest of the team isn't secure enough to go on full off meta Jett/Raze/Neon comps like MIBR or EDG
