I’m not caught up with this kpopification shit. What does this even mean and how is it spreading to vct.
K-popification refers to the growing global influence of K-pop (Korean pop music) and its cultural aesthetics, production styles, and business models in various entertainment industries. It can describe:
Music and Performance Trends – The adoption of K-pop-inspired elements, such as polished choreography, high-production music videos, and genre-blending sound, in non-Korean music industries.
Fashion and Beauty – The spread of K-pop-inspired fashion, skincare, and makeup trends worldwide.
Idol Culture – The influence of K-pop’s rigorous trainee system, fan engagement strategies, and social media presence on other music industries.
Entertainment Industry Practices – The integration of K-pop-like strategies in Western and other Asian pop music, including structured fandoms, interactive marketing, and multi-platform content creation.
The term can be used both positively (highlighting K-pop’s innovation and appeal) and critically (suggesting over-commercialization or excessive influence on global pop culture).

This only explains like half of it, I still don’t understand why it’s a big deal and why they’re drama over it. This happens when host several events in Asia back to back to back
It's not really anything tbh. Some people have some valid complaints about fans obsessing over certain pros in a way reminiscent of kpop fans, which can lead to some toxic results. Others are just using it to rag on the val community for being soft and shit. Just your typical complaints about the community repackaged.
