between Marvel Rivals and Overwatch?

why is the feedback for Marvel Rivals so positive despite it being very similar to Overwatch?

because everyone loves overwatch, but after years know people needed something new, New thing came along with good graphics and recognisable characters and gameplay and people ate it up

theyre similar. marvel rivals is with marvel characters like ironman, Captian americaetc.. and these are kinda the childhood hereos of the main audience playing it so the nostalgia and the fact that the game is pretty well made with good graphics and fun abilities is why it boomed.

It's a good game just like Overwatch, I would go as far as to say worse than Overwatch in some aspects like 3rd person, performance, lack of polish etc. But it's new which is not the case with overwatch(also why it gets so much hate) with so many characters at launch. Marvel Rivals is also more casual so it attracts more audience.

the game has the balancing of release ow and the same issues, only reason it's so well liked is cause everyone's new to the game. after a while you'll see people complaining just like how they did with ow.

ow in its current state is a far better game than marvel rivals

Give it like a month and people start complaining about everything, it's just new so its just the honeymoon phase for many of them before they notice all the problems the game has

It's actually good balance wise (mostly) wheather or not it stays good depends of what the first balance changes are

Most heroes are fun and more unique than OW. They actually made melee heroes and very high skill. Prettier heroes and graphics. They are not afraid of doing stuff like purely melee heroes such as Black Panther and Magic or constantly flying hero like Iron man.

Less predatory practice with perma battle pass. Smoother and more enjoyable gameplay... No queue role.

It has been a month and despite slander campaign from ow fans its still going strong

I would say this as a super brand new hero shooter player. I tried ow2 and its not fun imo, very confusing and the character feels like shit. Different story with marvel rivals, im super hooked into it. I think rivals character feels super good to play, especially psylock.

can you elaborate on the characters a bit more? ow heroes are really straightforward and they dont have that many abilites, compared to marvel rivals where the heroes have like 8 different abilites that can be comboed and also some "team up abilities." ow characters are a lot more intuitive imo

whats wrong with queue role?

I feel like the overwatch characters are just boring asf, there's no gameplay loop that I genuinely enjoy playing in overwatch (supp main)

In marvel rivals there's just a lot more variety in champions, and everything is broken, which means that everybody can win and lose the game with their own skill (cloak main)

rivals has bans and the character actually feel fun to play + its 6v6
