I mean he definitely is some what arrogant plus since he's so popular he knows a lot of people will support whatever he says but like didn't he tell them that he will change tomorrow? Like it would be time consuming to go back to hotel and change unless the hotel is very nearby ,I too think maybe it's a bit too harsh
Aayan [#2]Tbf being super strict on wearing jeans is a bit weird
so is freaking out over it it's really not that deep
the only reason to be stupid enough to not read the dress code and then rage over it is if he's afraid to lose his status

That's chess rules man like a lot of attire isn't allowed , I think recently they banned sneakers as well , I think it's for like cheating avoidance through devices

Lmao , I mean yeah the after math is pretty shitty from his side even if somehow that decision to kick him was like unfair( idk whether it's unfair or not) he still shouldn't talk like that just cause ur good at it doesn't mean u go on to disrespect the body that controls chess lol , also he did say that when they told him to change after the game today itself , the matter came down to principal for him which I don't understand but just listening this makes it feel yeah he did act arrogantly trying to have his way

ig in every chess tournament its same dress code and if he aint wearing that code means he wants to show that he dosen't care, when he came to venue he should hv already wore that code

I’m pretty sure there was a situation involving a WGM or WIM at a FIDE event not to long ago because of shoes…. But using cheating avoidance as the term is bs cuz they are saying u can’t cheat with dress shoes
He doesn’t care… Also FIDE enforce dress codes Willy vanilli…
When they feel like it, they do it… Some tourneys they ban it and some tourneys they don’t care…
Also I’m pretty sure other players where wearing jeans at some point (Like Hans and Arjun) ( maybe misremembering stuff cuz icba to watch entire chess broadcasts, just watch Gotham for recaps)
Magnus and FIDE are also beefing about the Freestyle gland slam stuff he’s trying to put on and apparently FIDE are trying to ban players from playing in that
Soddalele [#7]yes ofc! normally any person would just adhere to dresscodes in most kinds of situations, because why tf not?
Because I like jeans
welikefortniteandvalorant [#18]SkRossi Ange1 and FNS probably clear
lowkey, are there any igls that play chess? i'd love to see if there's any correlation between igl and chess prowess
