The state of the game is Meh . We have pros retiring because being a pro or playing ranked is even when getting $$$$s to play ...

Riot seems to care more about skins than map. And agents.

VCT teams playing mini tournaments. Then some not saying or playing anything.. ?

Will the first global tournament be boring and one sided ??

What needs to happen to improve the state of the game ?.

Thoughts

There needs to be more of a work up / ruling into what VCT teams can do. And clearer deadlines for the whole world on when you can trade up to. / sign new players

I feel like ranked and pro games need to have one agent ban per map. Per team.

Instead of minting out skins and agents. We need to stop the power creep that is slowly happening...

I love watching valorant . It takes me back to csgo days watching all the majors and getting really into it.

But with metas being a 5 agent comp that's copy and pasted by teams. It's not enjoyable... acsent you do that same thing to take A With the same 5 agents.... yes cs has the same line-ups and simple tactics. But valorant has the chance to be wild. And creative ...

That only happened in Ascent the least played map but even at champions there were a lot of teams who were running deadlock + cypher so it was not the same comp, the others maps every single team had a different comp.

Imo the long offseason is the main problem. They just need to make it as short as possible or if not, have official off season tournaments. There are many people that don't consume valorant at all after Champs bc they don't care about ascension or their team doesn't play anything for 4 months (or more if they didn't make Champs)

If you had said this in 2023 then I would've agreed. But now not really, we see many viable comps for different maps. If you actually watch matches that is not just your fav teams .

Are you blind? The only map where the '5 agent meta' applies is ascent, which can be fixed by just booting it out of the map rotation entirely. Like sure there are a few agents who are staples of a few maps but don't pretend like teams even remotely play the same stuff as one another on the whole
