I remember people were talking about how fancy united should have gone over rapid lofi and yet I'm watching them get destroyed by mongolz rn depending on how they match up vs dsg they're top 4 in south asia at least but maybe higher
also crazy that how much consz have improved
maybe 2-3 years ago he was the butt of most jokes in mongolian val scene because of his lackluster performances in official matches despite self claiming himself to be number 1 jett of mongolia after reaching #1 in asia ranked(very hard to achieve for a mongolian). even a month ago he wasn't the best in his team, whiffing many shots and losing duels but this tournament he TURNED UP. quite ashamed i am to say that i was one of those haters too but man, he turned into a fan, a believer. before sea split 3 if you asked me top 5 mongolian duelist i would name 4 players over him in every aspect but now that argument is completely false now

even though I'm a fan of mongolian valorant (which means fan of mongolz too) I'd rather not jump into conclusions this fast. sure my goats are killing it rn but they're still inexperienced in a sense and those inexperiences would have hit in lan tournaments such as ascension. I'm not too hopeful for an ascension win yet alone qualifying to it because they need to gain those experiences and furthermore polish themselves next year
not to mention that the opponents they faced thus far are rather bad

you already know who's reigning asian counter-strike at the moment
as long as there is hong kong server and our opponents are accepting enough to play on it ping shouldn't be a problem

tbh with how small their scene is, them showing these kinds of games are very promising. Limited scrims + small player base and still pulling a convincing 2-0 vs fancy is something I would consider a really good promise. Hopefully they get more recognition and riot don't overlook the region

this roster is way worse than their roster in split 2 so you cant really compare that
