The anti-toxicity mechanisms have only started working recently, however they weren't in place where n4rrate started playing, for example. He shouldn't get cancelled, but he should be taught on how to behave normally.

In all seriousness I do agree that “cancel culture” is being weaponized in a way that makes it useless. Cancel Culture was intended to weed out actually horrible people (like abusers and what not.) Now it has lost its validity as naive people are using as a tool to get rid of people they dislike.
