classic vs ghost

classic + armor is better than the ghost on pistol round

classic:

  • gives you +25 HP
  • you can buy more utility
  • right click close range which means u can jump around and be more mobile
  • cant get one tapped by ghost or 2 body shotted by sheriff

ghost:

  • have to be precise
  • cant one tap past 30 meters OR anyone with armor/overheal
  • less HP
  • less utility

the only upside to using the ghost is that you can one shot if the other person doesn't have armor (or is within 30 meters)
but if you buy armor on pistol round you can't be one tapped by the ghost, you will both have to 2 tap each other
plus, valorants map design favours the classic majority of the time

until you lose a gunfight from 15m out because ur classic decided to have insane first bullet inaccuracy

you will still win more pistol rounds just by having the extra util + HP + right click, than you will lose by getting unlucky because of first bullet inaccuracy

depends on how confident you are in your aim for me + it heavily depends on the agent I'm playing
80% of the time it's most ideal for me to have a ghost/sheriff

again name me one map where your going to have 90% of the gunfights close range, maybe bind but even thats a stretch, you cant rely on jus walking up to get close range fights lol. every team and most teams buy 2 sheriffs. this has nothing to do with if i played val or not

you can't always buy more utility, it depends on agent
on omen, sage, kj (defense) it matters
but sometimes (kj attack, for example) utility really isnt that important and i think it justifies buying a ghost
or there's times when you buy utility that costs exactly 300 (2 shocks when playing sova on defense) and then it becomes a pure consideration of ghost vs classic light shield (in that money isnt a consideration)
i'd say overall it depends more on your agent, the utility you're buying and situation you're playing than like percentages (i think theres some statistic out there that classic is statistically the best purchase on pistol round?? )

In my opinion its kinda dependent on if you actually need that utility and how confident you are in your aim and map I guess but I think that's thinking too deep ranked wise

thats fine. you still get every other benefit mentioned

nope. being able to have 1 or 2 mollies for exec/postplant OR having an alarmbot + molly + armor is a lot better. also if you're playing KJ you're going in last anyways, meaning you can just pick up a ghost off the ground if you REALLY wanted one, AND you'll still have your extra util + 125 HP

I played Smoker a lot, so classic allways was my pick.

Let take it from start.

A ghost can't one tap past 30m or Armor

a classic can't one tap shit.

Valorant map design favours classic

I assume your reasoning is that valorant has small maps and classic can burst. Unless you are on split or bind and going right into the enemies face, no, it's not useful.

More utility with classic + Armor

Good point but very agent, map, and side dependent. Some agent with mollies do benefit from having that in the pistol round but not the rest

Something you failed to consider/mention in your post is the classic's 1st bullet error which is higher than ghost's.

[You also assumed that after hitting the first bullet to head, the second one also hit something which isn't the case always]

Having that 1st bullet be accurate is very much needed especially when you are the one going in.

But it can work as a mini shotgun in a eco.

For short range only, unless you are some dark magic witch, it's very unpredictable even when you are slightly far than normal

1) yes it can lol. just click their heads and if they r low enough, they r dead.
2) you are thinking that a classic cant left click too. its still pretty accurate from mid range. this makes it good on any map you play(except maybe breeze unless you play it right) not to mention, you have util that can assist you to get much closer to the enemies will favor you.
3) unless you can buy the same amount of util with a ghost vs armor then yeah ghost can favor.
4) the 1stbullet error is so rare unless you are shooting from super far away and if you play it right, you shouldnt even be fighting that far away.
you also can pick up guns from other people, giving you more armor and util to use.
