asking out of curiosity

Fr bro, HS was a fucking breeze compared to college. I can't get mfs that say HS is hard, like just half ass things and u will still get at least a passing grade if not more. All u need to graduate HS is to not be the laziest bum in town and u got it.

College is american english, university is british english

#17

Frags

nah, the main difference is college is mostly considered as undergraduate only while university is undergrad, masters, phd, etc
many universities in america are called universities (UCs are a good example)

Is dropping outta high school common in your country? In Russia it's practically impossible, though many people choose not to attend it and go to the community college instead (if I got the terms right, in Russia we just call all the places where you can get higher education universities and all institutions of secondary-professional education colleges, so that's kinda confusing)

In the area I lived it is definitely not common. You can take the GED if you are at least 16 to skip high school, but not much people do that without a good reason.

I know one person who took his GED, and he took a break year and went to community college. Ion know anybody who actually dropped out

i went back a year later. i did it online it was fine.

edit: i also dropped out of college twice, my credits have retained each time so im just sort of going at my own pace. im not going to harvard but ill get my degree when i get around to it.

Man that sounds like a really comfortable system
We have similar systems
where you can kinda just choose when to go back and theres so many 2nd chances they provide us
really gotta be grateful for this ngl, lotta countries dont have safety nets like these

I have a few friends who didn't get into university, most of them are doing apprenticeships, the others are taking a gap year to retake a levels (final exams of high school in the UK, uni placements are dependent on them)

one of my friends got a 100% in grade 11 physics and an 90% in grade 12.

he's struggling to put up a GPA above 2.5 rn, but he's working through it.

I've been working at the shop before I dropped out, so I just moved to full time after that. It'll be 6 years in November so I've been doing well.

not really, I've never like school any way, being in a all boy's school and being the only gay kid there wasn't a fun experience. I never thought I would go to uni anyways.

Guys, don’t be a dumbass. Please finish high school, go to university, get a job, and live a normal life. I’m a prime example. I was living under the delusion that I could achieve something by following my passion. I dropped out of university, and now, after two years, I’m broke and can’t even afford to continue my education, living in my parents' house, and have no friends. FUCKINGSUCKSMAN
