Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego, Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas, and Ramses " Famsii " Valentino Erasmus Koivukangas have each respectively announced the expiry of their contracts with GIANTX and are now all free agents. Famsii is an unrestricted free agent, while Fit1nho and hoody will become unrestricted free agents at the end of September.

Fit1nho and hoody have both had long tenures with the team. Fit1nho in particular has spent most of his career as a staple on different iterations of the Giants Gaming team that is now GIANTX; he joined in 2020, departed that year and rejoined later in 2021. Similarly, hoody originally joined Giants in 2021 and returned to the team in 2023 after spending a year with G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive .

In 2023, Giants reigned as a strong regional contender in EMEA throughout the regular season. After narrowly missing out on qualification to Masters Tokyo, they successfully qualified for Champions 2023 as the fourth seed from EMEA by winning the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. 2024 was a more turbulent year for GIANTX as they struggled to find their footing. A winless Kickoff led the European squad to release nukkye , pick up purp0 , and move Fit1nho from Duelist to the Flex role.
