the first female player in t1/t2 (truth)

imo it would be an igl/smokes role that makes it. ppl keep thinking it will be a cracked duelist but theres too many male cracked duelists. female players with the best shot at t1/2 would be the ones who can handle leading a t1/t2 team in high pressure games. theres less good igls so more opportunity for a female player to stand out there.

-disclaimer: im seperating trans and females so not including bob's run in t2. i dont think it would make sense to have the first female t1/t2 pro be trans. still a win for trans representation but not for female players.

Flor would make it to a mid table tier 2 team but that's it for now for the duelist/frag heavy side
I'm not saying she can't improve it's just that she will need to get accustomed to the quality of play
Edit : Mb mb didn't see the last line
Maybe Enerii in a mid table APAC team. She is the Florescent equivalent of GC Pacific

on the topic of flor tho the same thing might apply to her as a gc player ngl. can she diff t2 16 y/o boys on monster energy? idk. for gc as a whole it might be the igl route thats most realistic.

I think an igl is really unlikely tbh, it's hard to see the impact of an igl especially when they're on a tier 4 gc team. teams just won't bother trialing gc igls whereas if you have a player dropping 400 ACS in GC then maybe they get a trial

She will probably come from premier
That type of talent usually is not appreciated
Unfortunately she will need to earn her spot

idk, we are seeing more teams realise how bad they can be without a good igl. nrg went nowhere because of ethan and liquid suffered with enzo too. in t2 i guess its less of a need but i dont see female players making it by being cracked shooters.

players like dodonut, enerii, daiki may have a shot from tier 2 atm (if given the chance), there are many women who are consistently on top of the radiant leaderboards like the players I just mentioned so the mechanical skill is there for the best GC players and eventually we may see a GC player make the jump to tier 2 in the near future if GC continues to gain exposure

yeah thats a likely scenario too. it wont be easy but thats what will make it matter.

the gc scene is not developed enough for a gc igl to adequately compete with tier 1 or even tier 2 teams, they still need a lot more time because they are still tactically inferior to their counterparts in franchise. this is why teams like shopify rebellion and team liquid are unable to hold their own in challengers.

however, there are plenty of gc players that can individually hang with the best in tier 1. shopify rebellion might not be able to hang with the best, but florescent/sarahcat/etc individually absolutely can. team liquid might not be able to hang with the best, but daiki/bstrdd/etc individually absolutely can.

my worry with mechanics is just that we saw what happened with G2G vs TH and FUT. G2G has shooters but couldnt keep up. even if we take the best shooters from GC are they even needed? its just a less likely route imo.

Hmmm... Hard to say, IGL-smoke would be so mush pressure on her shoulder, if she already have the pressure of being the first T1 female player that would be too mush for her shoulder.

What about reveal or sentinel instead ?

fortunately we will be able to properly limit-test gc players with the t1/gc co-ed events announced. theres always speculation but we'll finally see how they do with a t1 roster.

honestly, yeah thats also a good path. anything without a fragging expectation is more likely imo.

I don't mean to shame any players but that version of G2 Gozen was also arguably the weakest G2G has been, ending 3rd at GC Championship. I think vania and amy are some serious shooters (imo a huge upgrade) and we should be looking forwards to the Red Bull event when they play their play-ins and see how they end up.

fair point. yeah im excited to see what we get this year in the vct/gc clash.

i assume gc players take it pretty seriously since its an opportunity to shake what people think of them. so if its very competitive ill be happy.

You can't be a walking ult orb just because you're an IGL unless you're a god tier IGL. And no gc igl is anywhere close to that level lol.

Conir already played challengers before joining a game changers teams, she was popping old Leviatan roster heads

she beat this team too being the MVP, deigara is playing for the top 4 latam team rn and pule is a close friend to NRZ if I'm not wrong. https://www.vlr.gg/27683/9z-team-vs-kaos-latin-gamers-champions-tour-latam-stage-3-challengers-2-ubf

i think he forgot the ! like the female player will have to EARN IT!! meaning they would have to be twice as good and work twice as hard to even get chance to trial cause i have heard multiple accounts and situations where players simply refused to scrim with female players in trials probably not even the biggest hurdle she would have to face

yh i dont like the post either
these kind of discussions are meaningless and just feed negativity towards the gc scene
all im saying is you cant say how anyone would do in a different scene or league unless they are actually in it.
