Does anyone remember last year after champs when some people were claiming EG had the best year because 2 masters = 1 champs and what not, even though FNC lost just 3 series that year and came 1st 1st 4th. I'm seeing none of the same respect for winning champs given to EDG this year. I do believe that FNC had the best year last year but I also think it's ridiculous how some people can have EDG in 3rd-4th best team of the year this year, especially with how much respect people have given champs winners in the past. IMO EDG are 2nd pushing 1st this year and any lower is kinda insane to me

They only did well in Champs. They kinda bombed the other two events. A team like TH was consistent throughout the year and both SEN and Gen.G won a masters while doing well in one other tournament.

I think a big part of the EG bias is that EG played very good Valorant in a short period of time and that was the only time people started looking at them so it's all they remember.

With EDG and FNC people are always paying attention to them so they remember their worst games just as much as their best games. It makes it easier to knock EDG's success because we still remember Madrid and Shanghai. The fact EDG rebounded this year and won champs, beating SEN, LEV and TH (who were all favourites to win based on how the year was going) should secure them the 2nd spot by AT LEAST.

edg looked awful for the rest of the year and looked amazing in champs, eg looked awful start of the year, looked super strong in tokyo, and then obviously looked amazing in champs - i think it's very different

to be fair edg were horrid the rest of the year

EDG is getting grouped in every event next year mark my words. Their champs win is the 2nd biggest fluke in valorant

1 Masters <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 1 Champions, especially when the Champions winner came second in that masters as well.
