usually we always considered the mvp to be the one with highest rating, or at least i did cause i thought itd be consistent that way, but now im conflicted cause theres a vlr rating mvp and a new voted mvp which are different players
LordItachi [#2]It is never the highest rating, it is generally the Grand Final Winner Teams Duelist or anyone from the winning team with most impact rating etc. Other people can have more rating than the winner team as it happened this year but they'll still not be the MVP

well the actual criteria is just the grandfinals and only sometimes is the tournament taken into account, and the actual criteria requires the winning team to get mvp

close but not true, the MVP can sometimes go to a player of the team that lost the grand finals, due to outstanding performance in finals + the rest of the tournament.
that being said, I don't think it's relevant in the context of this tournament cause no player on TH played so well throughout GF and rest of tourney to trump anyone on EDG
