Rosters that looked good on paper but sucked

Anyone know any rosters that had really good player but just didn't win much? First team that came to mind was 2022 Guild which had Sayf, Leo, and trexx. LOCK//IN C9 was also supposed to be a superteam with yay. 2023 Liquid was a "superteam" that flunked in LOCK//IN and was mid in any international LANs

C9 at lock in was good they beat prx and only lost 2-1 to a drx who got 3rd at champs and 4th at lock in. Considering the time they spent together C9 with yay probably would've been as good if not better than their revamped roster later that year

Oh yea, NRG 2024 looked so scary on paper

2024 NRG during Kickoff and Split 1. Expected to be insane but failed due to overlapping roles and lack of an actual IGL.

NRG might have been the most overrated team of the year. They started with demon1, marved, ethan, vic and crashies and everyone was calling them the best team of NA. That whole team needs to be studied

yeah, tbf they had the sub situation, but the thing was they were considered favourites to win in most of the tournaments (like for example back then expectations were to be on the calibre of LOUD and OPTC but they didn't really come that close)

Looking back at that roster, I feel like if they had the same players (maybe switch hazed for someone else) that roster could've been pretty good.

every year they try to convince me 100 thieves is back and every year they are not
