Welcome to VALORANT! As someone who's never played nor watched Counter Strike, I don't know which team is most like FaZe. However, we're currently near the end of VALORANT Champions, which is the annual world championship. Matches resume tomorrow with the top 4 teams of the tournament, so I suggest tuning into those (or watching them back) and seeing which team you like best! :)
(Keep in mind these are only 4 of the 44 teams currently in tier 1 VALORANT. Every team is different in their own way, and everyone likes different teams for different reasons. Would help to know what you value in a team if you're looking for suggestions on which team to follow!)

Oh, my bad. As I mentioned, though, every team has something unique about them, whether it be the personalities of their players, their approach to the game, how willing they are to try new team compositions and playstyles, or just the overall vibe of the team. You can be a casual viewer who likes every team or the kind of fan who cheers for those at the top, but if you wanna find your favourite team then you should probably give a few different teams a try and see which ones you like and why
fnatic 2023 could have reached that level. they lost only 3 bo3s whole season (and 2 were against loud who was playing the swamp comp that countered them perfectly)
they were so far ahead of everyone that nobody even knew who the top2 team was until eg won champions
they even won the only off season event they played so thats a 75% event win record in a year

I am usually a die-hard Europe region fan, so ppl might call me someone to avoid (cuz this site is heavily North America + Asia biased), but my rankings are valid (the best you can get) and are not biased at all.
PRX = Astralis pre-gla1ve (Destroying everyone in qualifiers, qualifies to the events, does good in group stage, but gets destroyed in playoffs)
Faze = Sentinels (Good team that gets overrated by their delusional plastic fans)
TH = Gambit 2021 (Team with a bunch of rookies making deep runs and being one of the best in tier 1. The difference is TH hasnt won anything but thats understandable since there has only been 2 events this year)
KRU = flipsid pre-2018 (Always making it to majors but never really contenders)
FUT = Eternal Fire (Turkish team that is hyped by turks but always underperforms against the best)
Alright so here is first, Valorant T1 is divided into 4 region that all have the same number of spot in every Valorant tournament Asia-Pacific (APAC), China, Americas, Europe-ME (EMEA)
Year start with a double elim to qual for the master right at the start of the year, then we've got one split and the mid-master, and then a second split that qualify to champions.
Every region have 10 franchised team Americas have 5 NA, 3 BR, 2 LA. Europe have 7 EU team, 2 TR team and NAVI (That is CIS or Europe depending on how you classify Ukraine), APAC have 3 KR team, 2 JP team, 4 team from SEA (TH/MYSG/ID/PH) and GE that is supposed to represent India but got almost only import. China have... 10 CN team (Even if you can argue WOL and historically DRG may represent TWHK)
Each region have 2 ascended team that come from T2, thoose are the only team that can be relegated.
If you really want to dig into Val and learn about T2 the world is divided into several subregions
Any team can qualify to T2 region playing premier, that is basically T3, it's a tournament that is integrated in the client that take place any week and with promotion every 2 month.
They are also a fem tournament called GC (Game Changers), with decent team that is close to qualify into T2
About role every team have at least a duelist, a smoker, a reveal, usually a sentinel, and another player that is sometime called flex (but I hate that term, this 5 player may not have a big agent pool, some of them may even be "One agent player" in some metas), this last player usually plays initiator flasher or smoker like viper and sometimes both. The awaper is usually the duelist and the entry, the lurker is usually the sentinel. Some player like to switch role with other player of their team sometime, role are not totally fixed.
