That's normal across all tier 2 no? ain't no way riot is pouring money on a team that can't even qualify to ascension ( I assume that the backlash rose after red canids announced disbandment)

riot gives no money to the teams of ascenion lol even the teams who qualify disband look at falcons from eu they left tier 2. no point in having a tier 2 if riot doesnt care

I'm just saying that red canids is in no position asking for assistance, btw falcons had Saudi money ok , they are the worst example if you want to talk about an org severely underfunded.

I mean like what do you want riot to do?? Giving money away like that?? I've said this many times before, I know that this is an esports forum , but y'all gotta learn money doesn't grow on trees.

I mean if Riot wants a T2 scene to exist in Brazil (and tbh in some other regions this problem occurs too), they should be paying yeah.

If they don't ,when they get 0 good teams from that part of the world they can't really be "oh it's just because there's no skilled players in Brazil, we're totally fair" when the investment for a team in Brazil is way bigger than the return they get from it.

I think it's funny you're saying "what? should they just give money?" when I mean... That's kind of what they did to the partner teams?

Riot does give money to partnered teams and you can see they're backtracking now ( reffering to riot cutting funds to partnered teams) .
Look, if riot gives money to BR t2 it would be unfair to just give to BR, essentially every region would beg riot for money. You don't want that because it's definitely unsustainable as if the current system isn't already.

Riot only has limited Esport budget. The only way they can fund T2 is by taking money away T1 to fund T2.

falcons is a very different situation, since they most likely wouldnt be accepted into t1 even if they won (see their LoL stuff)

Sounds fair to me that region that is far from the place of ascention and T1(South America and SEA) have a compensation for it

Do you mean compensation as in "sacrifice?"

#29

Team are not sacrificed, the fact the game are in NA doesn't explain why Furia and MIBR are trash, especially when LEV and KRU did top 4

So what do you mean by compensation 😅

Give a little bit more money from T2 that is far from T1 (because they scrim them), plus money for playing in Ascention that will require to move in another place

It's actually sensible. But still not sustainable, it might solve emea's case ( cmiiw), but other regions are not so. For apac( korea) aside from Japan, hktw, ph , and Korea, there's still a lot of money to be paid. The same goes for AMERICAS , I actually have no idea about CN.

he is not wrong. brazilians/latam players have been left out to dry. these teams can’t scrim against partnered teams which leads to a huge skill gap eventually between them and the NA teams. this is going to cause orgs to not want to invest in these t2 players. it’s sad.

I think SA deserves its own region. NA and SA being separate regions would be great

Riot won't do that other than for China.

Im just surprised riot has not even attempted to do anything to fix the problems SA is facing

it makes waves, what feels like, every 4 months and they just cover their ears and close their eyes, hoping it goes away
We predicted it wouldnt work. It doesnt work. It wont work. At least attempt to fix it please.

If Im not mistaken theyre not even doing band-aid fixes like regular tourneys between the regions (how we're getting them in EMEA next year). Just nothing.
We dont need another Australia fuckup.

idk about latam, but Brazil will have one off season tournament supported by riot and that's all

basically, Brazilian valorant is dying because of lack of return for challengers team's and this is the saddest "i told you so", because the whole Brazilian val community warned about it :/
