I have been playing high sens in valorant for a long time with the help of my wrists. But, many of the players play with low sens with the help of their arm. They say playing wrist might cause pain issue in my wrist/hand area. Should I switch to low sens or just play with my normal sens ?

if you're playing the game 8-10 hours like them ofc wrist aiming will cause problems in the future

I play about 3 hrs a day. I have actually decreased my valo time due to irl works, but I have noticed wrist pain like 3 days ago. I had go for a doctor, he provided me a lotion and nothing else. I feel like I am not going to play pretty well with my arm. I play a ranked game today with my arm and went 3/14/5 😬

I'd say you're having problems because of your mutthal arm🗿

arm aim on low sens, wrist for micro adjustments is most healthy for your wrist. It helped me aim better after getting used to it too

if its hurts your wrist then switch off

just aim however you get the most kills

yeah maybe high sens could cause wrist pain, but we're already slouching and staring at a computer screen so i feel like it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things

i've been lowering my sens because the smoother everything feels more satisfying to play

Carpal tunnel is a thing. Health should be prioritized above all else imo, and if one gets carpal tunnel, they wouldn’t be able to play the game anymore (at least to a greater extent)

Lower than mine (400 edpi), I would suggest go lower if you want or just try wrist strenghtning exercises coz I never faced this issue

Ok I guess I should wait for the wrist pain to kick in then? I've been playing on high sens on every game ever since I picked up a mouse for games. It's been about 7 years since I started playing video games on PC with keyboard and mouse. My wrist is OK for now even after super long sessions. Then again, I hardly ever move my mouse more than 5 to 10 cm in one direction, that's how high my sens is.
Edit: my sens used to be around 2800 to 3200 dpi and 1.5 on valorant, but I lowered it about 6 months ago to 2400 to 2200 dpi and 1.2 sens on valorant

have you ever tried playing a edpi thats actually normal? like... theres a reason why pro players edpi ranges from like 200-400 on average, like whats the reason for you to play that high of a sense? space issue?

I started on high sens because I didn't have space to move my mouse. My desk was too small. Now I have a larger desk but a small mousepad and i also am too afraid to start using my arm to aim because it would take too long to adjust because I have only ever used wrist. Anyways, I have started lower8ng my sens. The sens I wrote down might actually be wrong now because I think I've lowered it more since then, that's just what I remember. The point is I'm too afraid and I have too much muscle memory with high sens. I might switch eventually when I get the courage to and when I get a larger mousepad.

No this thread started with someone talking about how high sens hurts your wrist. I was commenting on how despite me only using wrist aim, my wrist has never hurt. In fact, my wrist hurts more from holding my phone that from playing games with my wrist.

there is absolutely no way you are playing a edpi of 2640. legit no way. 5-10 cm lmao, mf would be doing a 1080 moving his mouse a millimeter

I'm not lying, if I had a mouse cam you wouldn't be able to see me moving my mouse.

it´s just hard to believe man, you gotta understand, that high of a sense legit means you cant really aim, at least not as controlled as you should be able to, its legit like 10x my sense, i just can´t imagine

I get it. My aim used to be very inconsistent and even on my current sens which might be a bit lower than what I wrote (I haven't checked in a long time) I can still do a 360 in 10 cm of movement. On the other hand, my wrist aim is very precise now compared to what it was like before.

once you checked, tell us what the sens is on

ok i checked and yeah i definitely tried to lower my sens a lot. its now 2200 dpi and 0.85 sens on valorant, so a lot lower. still it doesnt hurt my wrist even if i play a lot of valorant. my maximum streak of valorant is around 9 or 10 ranked games in a row which is a while.

that´s still super high, but definitely better i guess, whatever works for you, try out going lower and lower every few days and see what sens works best and gives you the best results, if you actually feel like you need to go higher again then do that, but definitely take few days on each sens

u shouldnt get wrist pain when aiming even if you're on high sens. wrist pain usually comes from lack of tension control and death gripping. as long as u warm up and have a comfortable grip wrist pain shouldnt appear but if u want to change ur sens it shouldnt be a problem. ive changed mine multiple times (im currently immo 3 and master on aim labs) and gone from high, low and "mid" sens as well. its all about finding whats comfortable to you.

i use wrist only because i don't have much space for my mouse, but arm is better for you since you're less likely to get carpal tunnel

wrist clears if you're not playing for long, I run 1600dpi/0.250 ingame sens and it works quite well. Though I only play maybe like 2 hours at most a week
