If you think you can IGL or at least call well, I'd suggest any flash init, but if not, prob KJ/Cypher
I don't recommend smokes unless you think you are good with them
If you want to have fun and impact play omen, can do good plays with his paranoia and teleport.
Or if you don’t want smokes go gekko, every 1v1 you can bombard the enemy with wingman and dizzy
Breach or Cypher/Viper. I will recommend Cypher tho u can use it in almost any map except Icebox maybe

having good pop flashes will let you 1v5 most of the time
and on the off-chance that you have a good duelist you can flash for them rather than for yourself; best of both worlds
If you are above immortal 2 then you shouldn't be solo queueing in the first place. I always see the same 2 people in my lobbies, you can almost always get a duo.
Valorant isn't designed to be played in solo queue. You can only go up to imm 1 like that (if you are talented enough). Even radiants get the same two people in the lobby, you should get to know those people and play together.
If you aren't capable of solo-queuing to radiant, then you're nowhere near radiant level imo
if curry can do it on every role so should anyone striving to get there in the first place
Curry solo queued to Radiant once in NA. I fw with Curry because he himself says that APAC is a lot harder than NA. Even I can solo q to Radiant in NA. NA radiant is like APAC Ascendant 3 at best.
When he was playing for Radiant on APAC he was literally duoing with Jinggg. You can check the tracker of the account he was using to play in APAC. He had a 69.2% win rate while duo in 53 matches. Compared to the 66.7% winrate in the 20 something games he played solo.
It is near impossible to hit Radiant solo queue while not duoing or trioing along the way. And it's 100% impossible to do that in APAC servers, where real Valorant is played. Overwhelming talent is nothing in the face of the frustrated filipino that's ready to throw your game.
Even the best ranked player in the world (primmie) has dogshit win rate in solo queue.
I think you're stretching. I have two accounts in NA and APAC and both peaked Asc 3, so there isn't really any difference at least until like high immortal I would imagine
There's also a lot of intra-regional differences. I got my APAC Asc 3 queuing in Singapore which was a lot more difficult than Tokyo. The other day I hopped on my account again and queued a comp game in tokyo and shit on immortals while on 100 ping.
I've also never queued anything except for Yoru on my APAC account

I'm sure you can get to NA radiant if you lock in, you're probably not trying hard enough.
And yes, there are intra-regional differences. Tokyo immortal is like an SG diamond/asc. Like I said previously, they are casuals. SG is treated as a hub where almost all of APAC plays. I even see some JP pros playing in SG. I still stand by what I said, SG ascendant 3 can be radiant in NA. And SG radiant lobbies are incomparably harder than NA radiant lobbies.

Read allat above. Also, anyone that's claiming to hit radiant only solo queuing without ever duoing or trioing is clearly lying. I don't think these "plenty of people" exist that can do something that even the top players like Curry struggle with.

Cypher/KJ is great if you are gold or above. If not then play Iso, Clove, Chamber just cause they are self sufficient and are quite good in ranked.
not duelist? definitely not clove... nor chamber, I tend to play support Like Recons and Flashes, they could help anyone get a kill, i tend to avoid smokes but try to play Cypher/KJ/Sova/Breach or even gekko you can help your team heavily.
When someone plays perfect breach against me if my team is not good thats a def lose so play breach if you are good at it

If you communicate a lot and have good understanding of the game, play flash inicator
If you have bad aim (compared to other people in your lobbies) and are a slower player, play smokes
If you have really good mechanics and aim, play senti
Initiator is by far the worst role for solo q imo as you have the least amount of options for playstyles. Omen and chamber are the best solo q character imo as you can support your team and still frag out, not to mention having the option to lurk on attack is nice if you have good map knowledge. When i was playing a lot of ranked I would do fine in imm2/ imm3 lobbies playing mostly chamber and omen.
