it will be such a different game, cs players play around 100 games in 4 months. Players can stay warm and there will more competition. This is why we see most teams have a spur of dominance then just fall off. Espc with a game that's utility based, more games the better.

People are not understanding that Valorant is a completely different game than CS so using the same format would literally be braindead. CS has a new patch every billion years with the same freaking meta while Valorant has constant updates and new metas that need time to adapt to. If Valorant had the same number of matches as CS, the quality of each game would be so bad since teams will never have the time to cook. This works in CS simply bc Valve never updates the game as much as Riot does to Valorant. So can we stop with wanting Valorant to be like CS!

so 12 games a year is good for the scene? Also, you're acting like we're getting game changing patches each patch, we've had 2 patches that dictated the proscene which were astra viper and chamber, other than that the patches merely have an impact on the scene.

There's no perfect scene for any game bud
Looks asian expect the mongols
They literally no grow in esport for cs.
If u think CS is perfect just looks asian cs perspective
Now gen g literally take them international with only 4 year game.

i agree but adding more games each split is not hard.

they also add/change maps too. But you do know that as more teams are promoted to franchised, its gonna be way more games in the future. Plus, Riot told us Champions 2025 will be extended to October instead of August. Riot has been shown to listen to the fans and adjust accordingly, something CS fans wouldn't know LULLL

You do realize 12 games is the absolute bare minimum and assumes you lose pretty much all your games, right? There are teams that have played basically triple that already and the season isn't even over yet

the only teams playing 12 games in a year are the dogshit ones and who wants to watch those

There is no need to change the structured in order to have more games that is not the issue

That being said 100 games in 4 months is way too much

100 is just an example and they don't play enough.. 12 games a year is not justified at all.

I agree I'm just saying it has nothing to do with the structure. Adding more games to the current format shouldn't be hard

I think for the teams that don’t make internationals there should be like a showmatchesque type league for cash prizes or whatever that may not give much viewership but teams still have games

There has to be more third party tournaments with more teams

summary: valorant needs third party events and ideally those events should mean something prizepool wise or riot eco system wise so that the teams will actually care about it else till the franchised league has a substantial amount of teams involved it will be the same thing over and over

Cs doesn’t have a format per se… teams do their best to be at the creme de la crème of events aka majors(x2 a year), cologne, Katowice…

After that Pro league is a chill out type sitch over a couple of weeks, esl partners get invited then the rest of the spots are split to other smaller tourneys and they runners up as well as esl ranking.

Blast also run their stuff on the side but in a more convoluted way that lead to spring, fall and world finals

Iem/ esl dallas, Chengdu etc are invites and qualifier based that teams can decline to take a break etc

Esl also run tier 2 leagues across all the regions…

There’s the weplay, res regionals…. Basically a tonne of tier 2-3 tourneys to let those guys showcase their stuff as well as the t1 teams can use to get back into a groove after a break etc

They need to find a balance to not stress players too much nor make the audience go away.

CS is stressful as hell for players, a lot of them talk so much about the crazyness of it.
