i agree with the omen, astra pull maybe not, it would not be easy for astra gravity well to pull a guy into a void because the star cant be placed in the void

astra is good some good recall stars the smokes are big but the stun isnt great and the pull isnt instant anymore so if your falling off the map to a pull you deserve to die.

miniboo is right in a way and I don't think we will see neon in maps like ascent but neon is perfect for abyss in particular

the areas on site next to the abyss, neon speed would be good to get over them. same with mid, jett would be better there but neon could do it easily as well

nah your on the right path harbor is insane on this map hes a must pick but most of the senti's suck on this map deadlock, sage, cypher all arent great so you need stall utility and on attack the only way to reliably activate mid lurks is with viper so running them both is optimal.
omen besides verticality has nothing over viper he also cant smoke from one side of the map to the other. zero reason i would pick omen over viper if im running harbor which as i said i think is a must pick. i dont think gekko is needed if you have a harbor cove to get plant down and his utility isnt that valuable outside of wingman on this map. breach is great on this map you can fit him into a comp if you running no senti + jett and sova. and i assume your talking about jett over iso which 100% prolly will happen but if you run chamber on this map which i think is better on defense then jett there is no reason to run jett bc shes useless on defense and i actually dont think a fast space maker is 100% necessary as long as you have an agent that can push awps off lines which iso excels at plus he can set up chamber on defense and his ult is insane with how the shield works now. and his vulnerable has some insane lines on defense.

Sova/Breach/Gekko could all work for initiator, I can't see Skye being optimal due to the map being too big and her utility not getting a ton of value (similar to Breeze)

I think this is a map where many teams won't run a sentinel, a double controller comp feels essential for all the long sight lines and potential lurks

i agree with your assessment besides astra and omen being the best controllers astra is better then omen bc of recall stars but omen is good but probably worse then most maps there are no good one ways for him and compared to harbor and viper they have way more value. also the only way your not running jett is if your running chamber

The verticality of the map plays right into the strengths of omen + blind is the best piece of non-smoke utility out of the controllers, hence why omen is played on almost every map. I don't think viper or astra will be necessary, it's more so what other agents will actually provide something better? The map is very wide, having two walls and then a third smokes to float helps both sides. I can see maybe interchanging Kayo, who's just a strong agent in general, in for the third controller, but I just think you need at least two.

i agree omen is good on pretty much every map i just dont think omen > viper for this map. viper is essential to activate mid lurks and i think this map will play like icebox with a lot of executes with a late lurk in mid and i dont think sentinels are very good on this map besides chamber and you could prolly make kj work but i think other agents offer more so you need stall and viper is the best at stall.
Honestly, i could see something like Raze, Harbor/Viper, Omen, Cypher and Gekko.
Raze is still the best duelist, and the nerfs won't do too much to her on this map.
Harbor/Viper is necessary, with teams having to decide whether they want to go for a defensive comp with Viper or offensive one with Harbor.
Omen is one of the best agents in the game right now, and his tps have insane outplay potential.
Cypher is the best sentinel in the game, and I can see his cam have a lot more potential then KJ turret, especially with there being so much potential for unusuall placements. I could see a triple controller comp with Astra instead of him, but I don't think that's a good choice.
Gekko will be insane when it comes to not only plants, but also the number of fights there is going to happen. His util regening so quickly will be too op to not pick him.

Chamber is also an amazing pick, His trap can basically cover the entirety of vents. The only reason im picking omen over viper in my current comp (Jett, harbour, Omen, Sova/gekko, Breach) is because of how he will pair with these agents. Harbours cascade paired with omen gives you Mid control and pushes all the op angle away, His flash can clear back site on B and Lane in A. Viper is good, Dont get me wrong. Cycling her wall with harbours on defence is a free lockdown on site. With her molly to stop pushes and delay. But I feel like with the comp i said, We already have enough agents that have util to delay the pushes that omen wouldnt be a bad fit, Especially if your using chamber which you recommended, We have his trap, Omens nearsight, Gekko molly, Gekkoflash, Breach stun, Breach flash, Afterschock and Sovas recon and shockdart depending if you use Gekko or Sova.
Viper can easily work in this comp too, But the execute in mid would be a little more complex.
