In my honest opinion, your friend may be correct. If kyrie replaced jrue or derrick white in the starting 5 their overall defense would take a sizeable hit. Kyrie is an elite player no doubt but everyone on the celtics starting five can score and derrick white and jrue holiday are top tier perimeter defenders. It just depends on how you see it.
