Pretty good no? I feel like in terms of strats and discipline the region as a whole is behind but their aim sometimes carries them no?
maplesy [#5]SA aim > Russian aim > NA aim > CN aim > SEA aim >>> Turkish aim
South Africa’s aim is crazy you’re right
Nachtel [#7]I counted over a dozen individual plays that clutched rounds for them; their mechanics are definitely above everyone else's
I wouldn't say way above but they're definitely use to taking raw aim duels. The region is very fight heavy, the overall aim/mechanics of the region is pretty solid but they desperately lack good strats and discipline. FPX has a high ceiling still i feel like.

This is why I love watching Chinese teams.
They prove that mechanics and individual playmaking ability are still a big factor in the equation, and that valorant isn't just purely about minimizing teamplay fundamental mistakes and coordinated util usage
although I will say on Sunset FPX was actually ahead of FUT in terms of working the map and macro; FUT was playing reactively since they weren't comfortable playing against such a weird comp and FPX kept drawing rotates
on Icebox though it was the most individual plays out of all 3 maps LOL

One point you made is exactly why I watch China more than any region. I'm looking forward to when China finally improve their macro. FPX's strats were beautifully done on Sunset. Combine great macro with the raw aim (arguably the best aim from any region) and China will be a major threat on international stages.
charleser [#4]Pretty sure that's obvious. Even bottom teams like NOVA and JDG (sadly a bottom team) have cracked aimers. Many analysts have said that once China improves their macro/strats they'll be tough competition in Champs.
Don't worry JDG is no more RARE ATOM IS FUCKING BACK
