I WILL SAY IT AGAIN NOONE CARES ABOUT THE COUNTRIES, IF U GO BY COUNTRIES EMEA SHOULD HAVE 15 SPOTS DUDE, ITS ABOUT PLAYERBASE, FANBASE, NUMBER OF TOP TIER TEAMS, FANBASE, ACTUAL SKILL AND POTENTIAL. yes it makes sense that SEA has more slots but at the same time KR should be pushed by riot games as much as possible, if it gets as big as LoL then thats a huge win

Sea is like the emea of Asia, they have a lot of different regions they come together for the challengers finals, I think that by October it should be worth it( sea is catching up to kr and jp

Yeah that is crazy but it is most likely due to politics/pandering. Riot is chinese-owned and they know that China could easily be the biggest market for Valorant(especially given LPL viewership). They probably want to give China a jumpstart to help grow the game there.

I'd say yes. The SEA circuit points table goes as deep as the EMEA points table, and SIXTEEN teams play in SEA challengers playoffs - the most out of any region challengers playoffs. Even EMEA playoffs has only 12 teams.

That's actually somewhat wrong? There are many high-profile teams in China, and even recognizable orgs have picked up Chinese rosters within the region. It's very competitive, and the scene is picking up. To say it has 0 pro scene right now pretty downplays them.

Yeah, it seems that slots for all 3 big events were set at the start of the season and no adjustments have been made. It is a bit disappointing cause I feel the SA scene has a lot of promise and the scene would grow a lot from international exposure. Hopefully next year we will see bigger tournaments with more teams from more countries!

That was before Riot did this. Earlier APAC LCQ had 8 teams with 2 from SEA 2 KR 2 JP 1 VCC and 1 unannounced. This reserved slot was for China.

Now they not only gave 2 slots to China but they increased the bracket to 10 teams and instead of giving a chance to Indian teams they gave a 3rd slot to SEA.

Yeah man i don't know Riot is even considering the skill level of the regions. Ig they just want to expand in every region possible and destroy the competition of other fps games in that regions and ultimately become the greatest fps game ever but i dont know whether this strategy will work. Atleast give them 1 slots and for that they should earn it like indian teams, first they are going through national level tournament then vcc then lcq and finally champions.
