ethan didn’t say anything abt genghstas tweet but why did no one get on his ass for bringing up how babyj was toxic in that one nrg video? obviously it’s not to the same extent but all these pros are saying that he shouldn’t have tweeted abt it a year later but laughed at ethan when he said babyj was toxic

It's not really the same thing, it is kinda messed up but babyJ Inspire is already known for being toxic so it was just a nice easy out for him to not have to eat a hot wing. Plus Genghsta feels like he's actively trying to ruin Yay's career while Ethan was just kind of joking around.
I also think Ethan did comment on the tweet btw

Leaking a scrim is specifically what everyone is pissed about because it's supposed to be an environment where you feel comfortable being completely honest with your teammates, under the guarantee that what happens between you stays between you.

It's like a therapist leaking a session with a patient, regardless of what was said within it

It's because of how different the context is, not shit talking your ex teammates isn't an absolute. Ethan making a joke about an ex teammate infamous for being toxic, in a pressurized situation is fine, because it's just a joke and this isn't really news to anyone. Genghsta is maliciously trying to ruin Yay's career by using evidence that either isn't a big deal even though he's acting like it is, or isn't enough to prove anything

I mean a lot could come down to personal experience. None of the OpTic or C9 players came out and said anything so maybe their personal experience with yay was different than with the DSG players. All pros seem to all have bad experiences with babyj and that's why they may not come out and defend him in the same way. Also, a lot of clip channels were just farming FNS for views and he happens to duo with babyj a lot who isn't afraid to leak or talk about his experience on his previous teams.

intent really doesn’t mean much to me because that’s not what i’m bitching about, and i understand what genghstas doing is worse however the pros reaction to ethan’s “joke” was still fcuked up especially coming from them because they understand how it harms them

mb, my main point is that 1. ethan being the experienced player he is who’s played in several different teams saying babyj was the worst player he’s ever played with is definitely harmful to babyjs career

  1. the way people reacted to genghsta saying that he shouldn’t have said shit a year later and kept this to himself is hypocritical since they didn’t say anything for ethan

I don't really care about Yay being toxic. At the end of the day, most pros who are toxic against their teammates are players who have a strict winner mentality (like I assume Yay does). The problem with Genghsta and Yay here is that Genghsta LEAKED private comms and accused Yay of bribing Ocean with 10k with no proof whatsover. I don't think that Yay being a bad teammate here is the problem, because lots of teams have lots of dirty laundry

It doesn't have to be interactions in a team environment. It could be an experience they had with him in ranked, trials, scrims, or 10 mans. I agree maybe Ethan should've probably just eaten the wing or lied and maybe the pros reacted in a way that would be seen as hypocritical, but the context and intent is different when Ethan said this in an NRG video about two negative outcomes and Genghsta after a year of being removed from yay and dsg is maliciously trying to ruin his career with multiple perfectly timed tweets after he just lost a match.
