Right now the meta is leaning strongly towards initiators, with how strong all 4 of them are tbh. What do you think will be the next meta, and does skye/kayo/sova/breach need nerfs?
All of them look ridiculous. I said a while back that all the initiators look broken af. (Like even before I created that thread about the Initiator meta). But I didn't believe that you could have so many on the same team.
But Skye looks too good. It's strong on practically every map and has so much of everything. I honestly think most teams will replace their sova with a skye(Make them learn Skye at least on a few maps) in Masters Berlin. That's how confident I am that Skye will be the predominant force on most maps.
Breach is not talked about enough. He has so much more consistent value now so we should definitely see him more often on maps like Split, Bind, Ascent maybe. But I think he'll probably just be mostly played on Split with Skye. The amount of Util you have with just those two characters on that map. Is enough to carry a whole team like 2v5 lmao.
Kay/o looks a little weak. I think we just haven't found his spot but I think it'll be relatively similar with Breach. But he just doesn't have the util dump thing so he'd be closer to sova but he just doesn't have as precise intel. I think he'll probably be used to counter aggressive teams or be just used on certain maps to just force even more of a Util dump. Or he'll just be used on some maps like Breach.
And well sova is sova. He's hawt. Who wouldn't pick him.
Sprouts [#6]Skye is a very good pick on most maps
Sova is a good agent and I honestly don't want to see him get nerfed
Breach < Skye
Kayo still needs more pro-play to tell where he's at imo
imo kay/o is really good its just skye flashes are way better so most team just go with her
hiyo [#10]Triple initiator from DZ was insane and really showcased how much utility dump they had.
It's so aids to play against if you are an awper...which made it hard for TSM but IDK if it would do good against a team like LG that have no awper
Skye and Kay/o, although not classified duelists, can be played as pseudo duelists basically. Like Skye is just a superior version of phoenix in all ways and Kay/o has a decent flash but still not totally in meta right now.
I don't think they need nerfs since nerfing them in any way right now would kinda de-power them out of play. Skye might need a slight nerf though since she is a top 4 agent at the moment and is just such a good agent.
EU_quiet [#4]It's viper meta atill... fuck that champ... 0 skill champ. Play 3 on site and 2 off site to delay time and then just play line ups
If you know Enemy has post plant lineups then flank her
ihitthat [#9]imo kay/o is really good its just skye flashes are way better so most team just go with her
I agree, I think Kay/o will be really good once teams learn how to use the ultimate and stop flashing their teammates
But atm, I think he's overshadowed a bit by Skye
ihitthat [#5]bruh skye nerf was more like a buff
It wasnt supposed to be a nerf at the first point, only thing they did is take one flash away but give 3 rechargabld back
Virple [#13]If you know Enemy has post plant lineups then flank her
If its that easy ghe meta wouldnt be meta in the first place, if your talking about proplay

Don’t know if Skye will replace sova but I can see them both being ran together

Shahzam said sova util is still so strong like wallhacking people and the owl drone, you know where they are and stuff like that. He said skye is op as well but they will not replace the sova for a skye. My guess is they gonna run it together.

True. Sova will never be replaced in Skye as the single initiator. With many teams adopting to a double/triple initiator setup, Skye and Kay/o are on the rise. Breach is shining in regions like KR, JP, and SEA and a little bit in EU. Skye has a high pick rate but in no way she will be preferred over Sova excepting Split and sometimes Bind.

I don't think Viper is only used for its post plant line up plays. The more broken about her is how much anchoring potential she has as a defender.
